I have the APEX with MC-Express turbo. I love the Apex. Best sled Yamaha has ever made. All the manufactures have amazing sleds these days. The only idiots out there are the guys still riding old machines. To much nice technology from all the manufactures to be ignored. Go out and buy a new sled and see why the sport has never been better.
@MeGaHiLlBiLlYdElUxE Heres what you should do... first, shoot both your whore moma and redneck hillbilly old man for giving birth to you, then take yourself and jump in front of a train. ( but make sure you do it in front of a fertilizer factory, so that can scrape your rotting carcass of the tracks to grind up and mix in with cow shit to scatter on a farm.
@Topfueltrooper Dont you have some dick to suck or somthing better to do then waste time trying to have a better comeback then me? Come get me you pussy ass bitch fuck your mean mug
@sevenoh9 yamaha can easly have some of the nicest sounding sleds. listen to the sleds with the turbos and the after market pipes, to me sound does not matter very much but it is nice to have a nice sounding sled.
What A Joke! "The SnowGoer snowmobile of the year award has been all about technology, innovation and moving the sport forward." NEWS FOR YOU: Yamaha is the only sled maker that needs power steering because the front end of their sleds weigh 600lbs... But Hey, I guess Ski-doo can't win everything, I mean who cares about the most technologically advanced 2 stroke motor with the most horse power on the market in the lightest chassis in snowmobiling...But yay for power steering...
@munden25 I guess if you want to rebuild your motor every 4,000 miles Ski Doo is the perfect fit for you. If you would rather have reliability and top notch quality, get a Yamaha.
@MnDeerHunter09 Wow, throwing out the reliability card, which is the only card that yamaha riders have been playing since 2003, is that all you got??? How about fuel economy (ski-doo E-Tec is better), or weight, or horsepower, or market share, or comfort, or ease of handling...Should I go on? All of which Yamaha takes a backseat to BRP. Maybe you should do some research, where you would find Yamahas spend more times in the shop than any other maker.
@munden25 It doesn't matter if they are lighter, get better fuel economy, or make more horsepower if they are in the shop getting new pistons and rings. 130 hp is enough for me, they don't feel that heavy, and if you can't afford gas you shouldn't be riding snowmobile anyways. I guess I can handle not being the fastest or lightest, as long as I don't have to worry about reliability. The riding season is too short the way it is why make it shorter.
"Yamahas spend more time in shops than other makes"???? Is that some kind of bad joke?? Get a grip buddy, Ski-Doo lost the sled of the year for 2011, case closed.
Also, did you not see the long list of other features that Yamaha has brought forth on the new Apex??? That my man is inovation in it's purest form unlike BRP who simply scavenged the E-Tec technology from the broke and bust Evinrude brand, and now claim it as their own like they invented it!!! What kind of shady shit is that?? The only thing Ski-Doo has going for them is their shady, deceitfull marketing campain. Their sleds are cheaply built and weak.
@netefrog Ha, come one man. You're not making yourself look very smart... BRP makes Evinrude, therefore they didn't steal anything....Because it's their own IDEA! For your Info: BRP makes SKi-Doo, Sea-Doo, Evinrude Lynx, Rotax, and Can-Am....
I'm fully aware that all those brands are NOW under the same umbrella. BUT it wasn't until OMC Johnson/Evinrude basically went broke and needed financial assistance that BRP came along got them back on there feet and basically STOLE their E-Tec technology. BRP did not invent E-Tec technology, OMC had been working on it since the 90's.
You get what you pay for guys! I owned a viper, loved it. just test test drove a 2010 nytro, maybe not as fast as my viper but the feel of the 4 stoke torqe was pretty cool. And not smelling like 2 stoke oil even better. the suspension was unbelieveable.
wow thats the stupidest thing i have ever seen in my life. the snowmobile of the year should have been the ski doo mxz x for its suspension, gas milage, horse power, and technology. it has a heated seat, heated hand grips, and heated thumb throttle. also it has kyb pro-40 suspension, and really great handeling. it has 155 horse power, and the best gas milage in its class, and oil last 50% longer than any other sled. it should have definetly been the snowmobile of the year.
Personally, I don't think power steering is that necessary on a sled. You're not "connected" to the snow anymore like you would be on a normal steering sled
Sounds like a great sled! But what's the price of it? And what type sled is it?
