Astaire is just classic song & dance man his footwork & body language & chorography was perfection personified! Astaire kept his title to this day as The Finest/Greatest Dancer of our Generation. I simply love this video especially the beginning clip from Holiday Inn the 4th of July sequence excellence, perfection, original, he was a master at his craft dancing, singing, acting! The man could do it all in his sleep! Happy Birthday Fred Astaire I know your dancing in Heaven!

Truly, Fred Astaire was a wonderful performer who proved a star doesn't need to be tall and handsome with the proverbial chiseled features. Distinguished, debonair, and highly skilled counts for a lot, as does likeability. No wonder I've been a fan for close to six decades.

Not just greatest dancer, Cole Porter said he was the best singer, he could act, play many musical instruments, he choreographed his routines, he personified "Rhythm", he was a nice guy and very very modest. No one today even comes close.
