It's scary how accurately games have depicted places.

Specifically, the people that made Assassin's Creed Brotherhood.

In a way, I've already been here, through a game.

The actual thing is much more breathtaking, don't get me wrong;

but it's amazing how our technology has advanced to take us to places we might never be able to "experience."

I half-expected Ezio to be hanging around somewhere :3

@JihoonJKim I've got to admit that they kind of screwed up the scale of the Pantheon in Assassin's Creed. I've played the game after going to the Pantheon myself, and it's a lot bigger in real life. Not only because its vastness can't quite be recorded on film or photo, but Ezio can easily hug one of those pillars and come half way with his arms, but you won't even reach a quarter in real life. Though they did a truly great and magnificent job on rebuilding it, it's a tad too small. :)

But the scaling is also for the game mechanics.

In anycase, I love the both virtual and actual Pantheons :3

@gmfrederik When it rains, they put up a chain around the center, because the floor gets very slippery when it's wet. There are small holes in the center tile and the four tiles surrounding that one, and the floor is slightly caved so the water stays in the middle. They're not actually tiles, but I hope you know what I mean. =)

I was in Rome a couple of weeks ago, and we went to the Pantheon when it rained, it was an awesome sight! =)

Totally the tourist season. I am so thankful that I was there for several months without having to deal with those large crowds. So much better when you don't have to be distracted by the mob. But, gotta say that the shots of the Pantheon interior are TUTTO MERAVIGLIOSO, especially the light beam through the oculus.
