Interesting, if you believe MAN-made global warming is to blame. However, there are a “few inconvenient” facts that leaves the “truth” of “MAN-made” global warming in absolute tatters. First, the polar ice caps of Mars and Pluto are shrinking the same way they are here on Earth. Look it up yourself: NASA & James M. Taylor (published in November of 2005).
Though maybe it's all those Toyota and Ford SUVs on Pluto, or that little Rover on Mars doing it though, huh?
Second, the sun’s coronal magnetic field has doubled in the last 100 years. Sunspot activity, solar flares and cosmic ray flux are not following predictable patterns now. “The Sun’s Strange Behavior Lately is Baffling Scientists.” Look it up yourself.
Third, any single MAJOR volcanic eruption releases more greenhouse pollutants into the air than the exhaust of ALL automobiles on earth since their invention COMBINED. We’re talking about CO2 - SO2 - H2S - CO – HCl – HF – & more.
Fourth, sea levels used to be higher, NORMALLY. Next time you visit the island of Oahu in Hawaii, take a ride on the old historic railway. You will see signs everywhere of the ancient coral reef bed that now makes up the entire Ewa Plain which makes up the Southwest corner of the island. Look it up.
So we may be actually returning to “normal” conditions in both temperature and sea level. We just don’t want to admit it because it hasn’t been that way during modern man’s recent reign on earth.
P.S. The isle of Oahu’s volcanoes are extinct. That means that Oahu is ABSOLUTELY NOT getting any higher or taller, in any way whatsoever.
The chain’s only landmass gaining altitude is the “Big Isle” of Hawaii (just a very tiny bit taller and wider on its southeastern edge). But it’s like adding layers of icing to a cake.
If the same thing was to happen to the aforementioned ancient coral-beds on the Eva Plain, they would be buried under a younger layer of lava rock.
