  • simple living nice

  • Americans always get pissed off about Cuba. Simply because they are better off without using so much oil.

  • hello Sakura not sure what your on, but Cuba has no factories. Cuba is run by a Dictator and he controls everything....The Cuban people need information and access to the internet. If you want to take a good gift to Cuba, take a NON STICK or teflon fry pan to a family. . With the CUC money you will find soap and basic needs, CUC is the moneyTOURIST USE, the natives get paid in CUP and those stores are sad. I encourage everyone to visit Cuba, so they can witness the destruction..

  • Cuba esta de Pinga, no sea tan descarados que la verdad se conoce. Panfilo was a famous Cuban drunk who made a video about the hunger Cubans face. JAMA was the famous term. Cuba is a living hell and house flies are just part of it. The Cubans call house flies " GUEST", as homes and restaurants don't have window screens. My 2 cents,, The news in Cuba today is LAURA POLLAN, the bravest Woman in Cuba was just murdered in the hospital, look it up commie troll???

  • Seriously ? The food is great and it does not kill you like the food stateside with all the dam preservatives and regulations! You wonder why people in the island live longer than "super power countries"..To be immune to something you need to be exposed to it not hide from it..

  • Would you like that WITH OR WITH OUT FLIES?? personal hygiene is a NON-Issue in all of Cuba. Notice the lack of gloves, hair nets, sinks with running water and soapy sponges.

  • @ARCHDIVERALPHATEAM Seriously? Restaurants in the U.S. and Canada can't keep flies from getting in when the doors open either. And the people who work in restaurants here don't have to wear gloves either, unless they have an open wound. They just have to wash their hands first. And no, they didn't show 'sinks with running water' or 'soapy sponges' - why would they videotape things like the kitchen equipment when they're there to film the people? I'll give you the hairnet point... (cont.)

  • @ARCHDIVERALPHATEAM but even w/ the health regulations here requiring them, people still find hairs occasionally in their food. Obviously they're not 100% effective.

I don't know if you meant to be offensive (troll?), but the way you phrased it makes you come across as a bit of a jerk - like one of those losers who whines about "those dirty _____", who seem to think that just because someone comes from a different country they're some kind of uncivilized, alien species. Seriously, grow up.

  • @SakuraStarRose 1.53 look at the flies on the counter top. We all know flies land on poop first. Use of hair nets, gloves, and cleaning products DO HELP reduce germs. If you travel to Cuba bring your own toilet paper and hand wipes to make your stay more enjoyable. I know all about Cuba as I travel there frequently and have seen plenty of flies ,rats and the lack of potable water.

  • @ARCHDIVERALPHATEAM Not saying they're hygenic - I find it gross when you see them anywhere, especially around food. But like you said in your other comment - most homes and restaurants don't have window screens - how are they supposed to keep them out? And yes, gloves, etc. all help - that's why they're generally included as part of health regulations (though I think gloves are more under certain circumstances, like a hot dog stand rather than in restaurants). I never said they didn't. cont..

  • @ARCHDIVERALPHATEAM I just felt that the way you phrased your first comment was a bit... well, rude. It may have just been that I'm used to dealing with a**holes like my cousin, who probably WOULD make a comment along the lines of dirty ____ when referring to - well, pretty much anyone, really. *rolls eyes* I'm sorry if that's not how you intended to come across, that's just how I read it. Bad thing about the internet - no clue as to the persons 'tone of voice', etc. continued again... XP

  • @ARCHDIVERALPHATEAM I'm not sure if the 'commie troll' was referring to me or not... I had to use google translate - "Pinga is Cuba, not so blatant that the truth is known" - is this a correct translation? May I ask what this is in reference to? I'm just confused as to whether you're referring to a comment I didn't see, or something in the video. Thank you for the references, though, I'm sure I'll find them interesting - The article I found on Laura Pollan was. May I ask what you...

  • @ARCHDIVERALPHATEAM mean when you say murdered though? The article I looked at said it was a 'cardio-respiratory attack', but it also mentions something about Dengue fever. I take it this is apparently information the governmetn is giving out? I honestly don't know much of anything about the situation, governmental or otherwise, in Cuba I'm afraid. I take it there are other opinions on the matter? My aunt has been to Cuba a few times. I don't think she's ever mentioned needing to take...

  • @ARCHDIVERALPHATEAM "necessary" supplies (female ones go without saying), but it's a helpful tip to know. She's just mentioned taking things for schools, like pencils to donate, and I remember (either she said or I read somewhere) - apparently if you go, it's better to take necessities to leave as a tip rather than money? Shampoo, or similar items? Aside... thank you for the Panfilo, Jama, and Mrs. Pollan 'recommendations' - I'm sure I'll find them interesting. I suppose as a sort of....

  • @ARCHDIVERALPHATEAM return - if you're interesting in reading about humanitarians, and social activists, etc. have you ever heard of Craig Kielburger? He wrote a book called "Free the Children", titled after the charity he started when he was twelve. It's very interesting to read. It's about why he started the organization (which is unique because to my understanding it's run entirely by kids), and a trip he went on to Asia and the MIddle East investigating child slavery, and child labour issues

  • @ARCHDIVERALPHATEAM in those countries. It's very interesting. He even participated in a raid on one of the factories, rescuing the children there and taking them home.
