Same here :( I've changed my PCV valve and cleaned the hose connected to it. Am gonna change the water pump soon as a precaution. I have a coolant leak on a part on the left of the engine...dont really know how it's called but I gotta change that part asap!
@lilPat I had a fully loaded 2002 Sebring with the 2.7. I got it with 28700 miles and it was finished at 67558. Very disappointed. I went to Chrysler for all but ONE oil change that I got at Valvoline when I moved to GA so they dishonored my warranty. I was so sad about it. I actually went to the dealership two weeks ago and bought another but took it back becuase it was a rewind of some things I experienced from my first. I just decided to get a Honda. I cant be scared of my car.
You're right. I read so much horror stories about this car that I wanna change all the parts that could fail soon so that I get my mind free. I also put Amsoil oil in mine and it cost me 120$ (it's rare to find it where I live). Needless to say I crossed the warranty out of my mind after since I knew Chrysler would cancel it (youre not the only that they did that) . That's such a low move from them :( I wish I could give it up but am stuck with it for the moment.
@tonebro I wouldnt have gotten a Honda, our 06 have very loud engine ticks, slaps ect. We have taken good care to. I woulda went Chevy, Ford, or Toyota.
There goes a Chrysler! I remember my 91 New Yorker. Great car. Im thinkin of gettin a Sebring (00-06 version). I just think its funny how Chryslers (Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep) start up. Thanks for posting.
Good choice :) Just make sure it wasn't a rental car before and get the 4 banger version. It's way more reliable than the V6 I have. But if u really need the V6 power, baby the engine as much as you can.
i'll sell you my sebring convertible for 2,500 as is! it a 2004 87,000 miles all black new brakes new bearings it's the LXI model I paid eight grand 11 months ago take the pile O aids away!

I'm guessing the 3.0L V6 doesn't have as many problems because of the Mitsubishi engine right? I could be wrong though (:

Never had a prob with mine. Great p/u for a small car. 71,000 kms on it now.

the 2.7 is kind of a plagued engine, they cant get the design right so they fail prematurely
