Apparently, on the GC version of the game (It was released in a special disc that contained this game, Zelda 1, Zelda 2, and Majora's Mask. That disc came with a special collector's edition Zelda Gamecube... thing. idk, all I know is that it's on gamecube.) warps you back to the forest after you save, quit and reload the game. Which is what this guy did for every segment of his speedrun.

You have to meet the requirements to see that cutscene in order to find the ocarina. If you don't see the cutscene with Ganondorf chasing Zelda and Impa, the ocarina won't be there.

Thinking of that he uses a gamecube controller, it's quite impressive how steady he olds the L (Z) button while walking backwards. I have this game for my wii, and when holding L, you must hold it with iron grip, cause the slightest slip will make the game read that you doesn't hold the button.
