@thelegendofcrazyness That's just you connection. If you get a message about your firewall settings when you go into multiplayer lobby, it's because your NAT type is strict. Just turn on and off your router and test your network connection on network settings for it to become open. If it don't work you should get a new router.

Epic wants people to fight tactical, the game is slow paced so runnig out with a shotgun is stupid, the shotgun now is a really close range weapon, which is the way I like it. And plus, hard aiming is not gay, it's really smart. In real life if you shot from the hip like alot of people do with the shotgun, it's a death call. Just aim and take cover people! :D

@Zacattackzak Well, I played for the first time in 2 months yesterday, for only about 10 matches. There is still some amount of character lag, when you bobble about whilst rodie-running, but that isn't important. In all of the 10 matches I played, there was no "bullet-lag", which is pretty nice. It makes the game more playable, and ultimately fun.
@DeadPixel00 But in over 5 different cases, I experienced something new where I was in a 1v1 situation, where both players have shotguns. As I got close to the player, we both shot each other, and we both died. This is rather unusual, but it's welcome, as at least both parties gets a kill each, rather than lag giving an advantage to only one of players in 1v1.
wtf so when u matchmake, u don't matchmake online with 4 other people, instead u have 9 other people. So if u had a 5 man team going online, you could go on separate teams? That is bullshit. Please tell me if im wrong, which I hope I am.
@resident5100 not really, in gow1 you have to actually lead the enemy, you don't have to in gow2, at least not anymore. In the game you still have character lag, but there isn't any bullet lag anymore.

the best things i the update i think is the no bridging and social matches. The bad things are the updated shotgun burst and shotgun double kill

man, when I played the first time this update was ready... well it was to me instant like - Fuckkk yeahhh, but then I noticed when you shoot at enemies the shots seem instant but they go down 2 - 3 seconds after... another way to see this is with sniper & torque.... not instant enough to pull off host - like headshots.

TU6 FUCKING SUCKS! All you have to do is hard-aim and you bring the guy down in 2 shots. It doesn't fucking any skill now to kill someone. EPIC why do you love ruining Gears?!

wow epic did the impossible made gears2 gears 1 now, now u can popshot and theres way less lag less stoping power, stoping power ruined gow2 now every1 shotties its amazing now its a skill based game now not a team based game anymore, its better if u like gow1 this is it, even better, tork is more beast now even sniper is easier the game is finally better than the first 1 if u hate gow2 now after the update u just suck at gow cuz gow1 u died in 1 or 2 shots its fast like gow1

@mickles21486 no this game is still fucking ass i just bought another 360 back last week and returned that shit next day gears 2 is even more fucked up then when it came out the shotty is so damn strong now that you will lose a shotty battle to any fucking body noob or good my 12 year old sis went 4-5 her first game by just shooting her shotgun she has never played a shooter in her life by the way. this game is just a complete cluster fuck just wait for 3 and pray its half as fun as 1

@iAmDmagic im glad you told me that b4 i went and got another 360, all this talk about the new update being like gears 1 had me itching for a game! think i will wait till gears 3 comes. epic forum is good for some gossip tho, a LOT of people are campaining for gears 3 to return to gears of war 1 style multiplayer.

@mickles21486 it is like gow1 now b4 gow2 u couldnt press left trigger and right trigger at the same time now u can u can pop shot and people actually blow up lancer is less cheap less stoping power sniper pops heads now its pretty much gow1 without actives and they have alll the gow1 maps now too

The new update is shit!!!! the shotgun is way overpowered and you can one shot people from a huge distance. its also similar to fuking halo where you both kill eachother in a shoot off. and what the hell is up with a time limit on the round!!!! i never get to finish a game!!!!

Awesome so far when I played, cant get rid of lag in a patch.
But yesterday I played a game with a guy from the UK, Ireland and US and there was No lag at all.
Very pleased with the updated and buying the all fronts DLC now which is only 10 dollars now instead of 20.

@watr12 are you dumb? im not complaining about the lag stupid..im complaining at the fact that the update made it so that you can't really tell when you're lagging...and makes it harder to udjust to it because your shots always come out instantly...also updates CAN change the connection...they can make it so that only people with a certain speed of internet can get host...thus solving the lag problem(unless you're the one with the shitty connection in which case you'll always lag)

no...there is still lag lmao...remember how when ur lagging and only ur shotgun appears to have bullet lag...well now they make it so it appears NOT to have bullet lag...there is still lag...his shots may appear to hit the grounds immediately but check his ammo...there's still a lag...they just try to cover it up =)

@Zacattackzak Well, I played for the first time in 2 months yesterday, for only about 10 matches. There is still some amount of character lag, when you bobble about whilst rodie-running, but that isn't important. In all of the 10 matches I played, there was no "bullet-lag", which is pretty nice. It makes the game more playable, and ultimately fun.

@DeadPixel00 But in over 5 different cases, I experienced something new where I was in a 1v1 situation, where both players have shotguns. As I got close to the player, we both shot each other, and we both died. This is rather unusual, but it's welcome, as at least both parties gets a kill each, rather than lag giving an advantage to only one of players in 1v1.

wtf so when u matchmake, u don't matchmake online with 4 other people, instead u have 9 other people. So if u had a 5 man team going online, you could go on separate teams? That is bullshit. Please tell me if im wrong, which I hope I am.

@resident5100 not really, in gow1 you have to actually lead the enemy, you don't have to in gow2, at least not anymore. In the game you still have character lag, but there isn't any bullet lag anymore.
