Let's get one thing straight. Nichkhun was born in the USA and is a citizen of both USA and Thailand. In WGM Ep23, he actually used his American passport (blue cover) to check-in for the flight to Bangkok with her on-screen wife, Victoria. And his dad is a FULL Thai whilst his mom is a FULL Chinese born in Thailand. It was also mentioned in WGM Ep23 that the parents of his mom came from Hainan Island when they were still kids.

Yeah. He's actually has Chinese lineage as well. In Thailand, the integretation policy has been so successful that Thai people in the present generation are all mix. So if you have only 1/4 chinese bloodline, some Thai wouldn't count they're half chinese coz everybody has chinese or other ethnicity bloodline. It depends on each person, he/she will consider himself as halfie or not. Nichkhun also said that he's half Thai/Chinese just like other Thais. So.. that's why.

First of all, it isn't completely illogical to assume that maybe he meant he was 3/4 thai and only 1/4 chinese proportionally.
