Windows Mobile 6.5. Is now available for the Touch Pro II and Dash 3g

if I order this phone from t-mobile now will it come with 6.5? If not how do I get it?

You can call T-Mo and ask.

But I am not aware that it will come with 6.5

What I did was immediately install a ROM from XDA Developers, or check out HTCPEDIA. com

You can also look at my ROM flashing videos and I will be posting a How To eventually.

By the way, I am not sure any carrier is shipping the TP2 with 6.5 They all have 6.1

Possibly AT&T (the Tilt) does come with 6.5 But I would not go with ATT simply to get WinMo 6.5 That would be the lamest move on the planet.

I'm upgrading (I.M.O.) from my G1 to The T-Mobile Touch Pro 2 but I know I'm going to have a hard time upgrading to 6.5 for when I get it, it will be 6.1

You need to "unlock" your TP2 by installing HardSPL. ActiveSync is the only way I know how to install HardSPL.

WARNING - There is no method to flash HardSPL directly from your SD card.

I believe you can flash HardSPL with VMware Fusion 3 on MAC OS X.

Other methods trying to get HardSPL on your TP2 may brick your phone.

Once you successfully install HardSPL you can from then on install ROMS directly from your phone and not a PC or MAC. See my video on microSD ROM flashing.

Also.. Can you create your own ringtones from MP3 files ?
