my rabbit is a dutch mix, she dosen't really look like a dutch though thats just what her vet told me she is 7 mounths and her birthday is dec*25. She is white with Grey spots. shes soo cute! hope ur babies are safe (:
@TheGuybrush123 Those cages are just fine. the wire will not hurt feet because they have a board for them to jump on, above the wire. the only way a rabbit will get sore hocks is when the owner does not take care of them, trim the toe nails, etc. The only issue I see is that each rabbit should have its own cage. other then that, they are fine.
eww ur cages are filthy, i dont think its right to keep rabbits in such dog cages, they should be in a wooden hutch with a soft bottom and hay to lie on.
@georgepetlover It's okay to keep does together. But, bucks will fight, I have bucks together myself, they don't fight, they are brothers, but yeah. I am separating them soon! :P Hope I helped.
@irishrabbitman I'd say wait until her previous litter are weaned, (About 3-6 weeks after they have fur) wait about a week after they are weaned. Hope I helped you :P
@BrandonGTplayer You should put a board or two over their cage if you keep them outside, mine are in my barn so I don't have to worry! Haha :P Hope I helped.
omg i hope u dont eat them :( DO you breed them for there meet or do you just keep them as pets . it seems you take very good care of them and they look pretty happy but do u eat them ?
@KillHannah7 she takes decent care of her rabbits, they are show rabbits, and have probley done very well, dont judge unless you've seen them in person
@KillHannah7 There are peoples opinions on raising rabbits from social butterflies with no intent to ever have rabbitss to vet techs, to famous breeders, to show winners, to owners turning rabbits into babies, to farmers with their livelihood in the soil and manure. Not everyone does things the same way......
you cant put their feet on cages like tht, they have farggile feet so its considered animal cruelty but it looks alright for the moment....btw how often do your rabbits breed and how many per litter?
I let them out on the ground to run around a lot and now I put a board or straw for them to rest their feet on. So they aren't that bad off. Wire helps me to keep them cleaner. I breed max of four times per year if the rabbit is really healthy and fit but usually only once or twice per year. I average 5 kits a litter.
Yeah, there was a tree in the middle, plus I have boards over the top of each cage. I have since then moved to another part of the yard with even more space, shade, and space to make cleaning easier.
Thanks! It's easy to put young rabbits together without them fighting, it's the adults that are the problem! But Asia. the opal doe in the first cage, is just the sweetest doe alive and will get along with just about anyone. :D
Well, it's been over a year and he's still alive and kicking! :P This vid was taken over a year ago and I know much more about rabbit cleanliness that I knew then. Thanks for the comment!
this reminds me of all my bunniess i got a bunch too and when imade a video ofcorse theres these people that complain about my cages and it being dirty. hahaha but whateverr.
I have sadly decided to stop breeding rabbits. I've had them for 5+ years and love them but we are traveling a lot and it is becoming to expensive to get someone to take care of them while I'm gone. So there will be no more videos, sorry!
They only get along so well 'cause they were babies or very young. I don't have very many adults that are friendly to each other! If rabbits grow up together they do fine. I even have two bucks (littermates) that stayed in the same cage until they were 5 months old and they still didn't fight! I separated them though 'cause I didn't want to risk them fighting any longer.
Yeah, they are very dirty in that video. :P It was taken about a year ago and since then I have TOTALLY redone every thing. I've learned a lot since then about rabbits and they are kept much cleaner now! *smiles*
I have a rabbit that needs a new home with a responsible owner that you can have when you come to Kentucky. She is a black and white spotted one similar to yours. Aunt Cy
I would start out with two does and two bucks. Or, three does and two bucks. Most people say to start out with a trio of two does and a buck but two of each is what I would recommend.
Very nice rabbits!

how old until its ok to sell the babies?
BrandonGTplayer 1 year ago
@BrandonGTplayer 8-12 weeks is the general rule.
shanestamatis1966 1 year ago
@BrandonGTplayer I raise mini rex and netherland dwarfs. you do not have tp wait 8-12 weeks.
I know TONS of breeders and almost all of them (including me) only wait 6-8 weeks.
The smaller the breed the longer you should wait though
