Watching this woman was an inspiration for me and my mother, as my mother is 46 and she does karate. I showed her this and it just makes her want to stick at it and keep on improving. Every move shows that this woman has the right balance of speed and power, in my opinion. no wonder she's a european champion!
She's fast, but not as strong and fast to make her win a world competition. Her positions are not quit good. Her legs when she's in shiko datshi position show that she's not flexible enough. And she was almost about to trip at some point "I'm sure you could tell", and why was sher about to trip?? Cuz she was making sure all the time to show her speed, which isn't a very good idea. If you are have strong legs and "hara" in kata, you should never be about to trip.
what competition was that? For sure it wasn't a world competition. It was local. You can be the best in your area. I was too, but when I played international competitions I never could win. I won that girl more than once back at the time, and I was a karate champion in my country for over 15 years in karate shito ryu.
