it's a joke. i've been there several times since my grandmother's family is from WV. the landscape is great, though i probably wouldn't want to live there as a minority. although the state is fairly conservative now, it's a small-town conservatism rather than the uppity orange county variety. most people tend to forget that WV originally split w/ VA on the issue of slavery. i'm not a fan of cheney, but i don't think he meant any ill will. after all--w. and cheney did quite well there twice.

@max9ish That ad was paid for by the republican national senatorial committee and had no approval of Raese. It was the people hired by the NRSC and even they had no idea the company they hired had said that until after it was too late. They PULLED the ad as soon as they found out. I'm a Manchin supporter, and there is plenty to criticize Raese over without resorting to lies. Do some research, Raese had absolutely nothing to do with the ad, didn't pay for it, approve it, see it beforehand, etc.
