For what I can recall Germany had a bad start into the Serbia match (red card Klose) then failing at scoring from the spot (Podolski) and then bad luck with Khedira hitting the post. Consider that this was one of the youngest teams ever in a WC tournament. A lot of pressure on them after the Serbia match and still... made it to the semi-finals. It's funny because I was talking to a midlevel pro in Argentina, and he admitted they are poor sports about losing. They have so much talent, and they should play real soccer and quit acting like spoiled brats.....As weak/mediocre as the USA is nationally, you have to respect that they play hard, typically don't dive, and respect their opponents. The USA would be blessed to have half the talent as Argentina.

@hawarse : to be honest I reviewed the part many times, it was 100% a penalty. I think the defender made a big mistake at the late time, it was not an opportunity for a goal but ... Actually he caused to miss the cup. Anyways I love Argentina's play style always they play football very tactically!!
