Spending money is only useful if it is spent wisely. These ideas spend money well. I say stop spending on war, even if it does allow terrorists into our country. The way i see it, we can be building more than what some terrorists can destroy, because of one important fact: terrorists need money and resources to operate. Where is their money coming from?
They need to be funded by borrowing through government treasuries. Funding them through cutting spending or raising taxes would reduce the effect of putting money into the economy. Political theater aside, there is no 'debt crisis' in this country - there is simply a large amount of debt to be repaid when tax revenues are high from a flourishing economy. Down the road, Ending two wars and returning taxes to Clinton era rates will help repay the deficit.
These are great ideas. However, how would you fund these proposals? I think more people would get on board if you can do all these things without putting the US in another fiscal crisis.
