Gratz on the high Fury bar in PvP. That's no small accomplishment. And you've gotta love people who try to go toe-to-toe with a Brute. It's the one strategy where the Brute is almost certain to win.

id say theres 4 types in this order fire/em ice/em fire/elec and ice/elec; im a big fan of my fire/elec in sirens call because he get thunder strike in there so u can 2 shot squishies in melee range.

I notice you didn't use Power Surge in there. Do you ever click it in PvP?

Did your Fury bar matter at all in those encounters? I hear it's not very reliable in PvP. :(

You took down a Rad Defender I believe. How bad is EF for you?

i can probably answer this alright for you.

power surge is a great power but you dont really "need" it for pvp unless your getting pounded on

fury is nice but with energy melee you still can unleash alot of damage w/o fury

defender EF is -70% according to mids, so i would think it would hurt a brute alot

70% resist debuff... bullshit. It's 30% in PvE and 40% unresisted in PvP.

First learn how to spell and in cov its dam diffrent than WoW the way i will put it is the skills that are a kind of "Spec" not just like you have a class and that is it and you have class specs here you can choose alot of other pools with other words "talent specs" btw wow sucks xD

Actually, the *best* combo is ET, BS, TF, BS, ET, but you need 3 recharge +hasten to do it. And you have to stay in melee range for the whole cycle.

No, I have 3+recharge and I assure you that will not work. It takes +2 recharge in ET, Hamidons, or Force Of Nature or upcoming Inventions. Just 3 +recharge is not enough unless there was a buff post Issue 7 to change this. I have not played since I7. Do not trust the numbers u see in CoH/CoV Builder we verified this ingame on 50 EM/ELA Brutes

ET has always had a recharge of 20 (base). 20 / (1 + .95 + .7) (without even factoring in Lightning Reflexes, just 3 enh and hasten) leaves it at a 7.5 second recharge. Its cast time is 1 second, so if you hit build up then ET immediately, it will recharge with 1.5 seconds of build up left. Bonesmasher and TF just happen to fit in perfectly so you can do ET, BS, TF, BS, ET within build up (1 + 1.5 + 3.3 + 1.5 + 1 = 8.3, which leaves a small margin of error).

So, yeah, you can use ET twice in one cycle of build up, so long as you triple-slot it for recharge and have hasten up (though you might be able to do it with 3 slotted recharge and LR, I'm too lazy to look up the numbers for LR).

you need to be specific and say exactly what '3 slotted recharge and LR' means- like which power needs to be 3 slot. On my 50 EM/ELA brute with LR+hasten I can only get 2 ETs to happen only if I put 2 +recharge in ET. Using 3 +dmg 2 +acc 1 +recharge you will never be able to get ET to happen twice even if both hasten+lr is running

one last thing I didnt mention this here but there is a bug in the demo recording- its not 100% accurate. So sometimes it shows me as overshooting opponents even tho I am not. There's a few other bugs in the cinematics (like bouncing camera)

It depends. If you're into PvP it might be better to go CoH since heroes have a lot of advantages over Villains (check PvP General forum for more info). For PvE, they are pretty equal nowadays I believe

Nice vid mate nrg/elec is a very strong build. critisms i have is open up with et, bs then tf. I seen that u mostly open with tf, by doing this ur giving them time to run and ull get more out of ur build up too. Use the follow(F) button, i notice u overshoot ur opponents alot with ss and ur losing valuable killing time and giving them a chance to retaliate properly. Keep up the nice work mate too bad ur in the states, ud make a nice enjoyable fight. =)

Actually you want to open with TF first. If you're fighting a /regen scrapper TF+ET+BS can kill them before they have time to hit reconstruction w/ fury. I also think its good to overshoot an opponent because it makes it harder for them to hit you with a close range attack. Notice I beat one scrapper with a full life bar. Also, my run speed + jump speed is maxed. Webnades have -slow -jump so I can catch any ground target. Notice how I caught ev1 that runs in RV

By opening with TF he is pacing his opponent. TF is a very slow and predictable attack... say you fight a regen and use ET/BS/TF in that order. The regen will probably (if he knows anything about heal timing) hit reconstruction or dull pain right as you go into the air for your TF, whereas if you use ET after the initial hit (TF) the regen can't use a heal before the animation finishes.
