  • badddd

  • rubbish

  • Its just too dangerous to do push ups with out getting on a cycling machine. Good advice.

  • Please more Doug Jones Videos! I am a big fan (no joke), i think he really really knows what he is talking bout! Thank you for uploading!

  • Doug Jones....shut the FUCK up,you ASSHOLE

  • Scooby can beat the hell out of him.

  • Doug is SHIT. "standfirm" is a bunch of COCKSUCKERS

  • Fuck you Doug, you fucking ASSHOLE. Congrats. on another bullshit video, fucking RETARD

  • @KELLY19832

contratz on being 100% clueless. doug's vids are top quality, you're just ignorant and read flex too much. get educated on how to train and then come back.

  • valsalva maneuvers are generally safe for the healthy population, but like this guy said, if you have any limiting conditions like diabetes or hypertension, valsalva maneuvers can actually be dangerous because these people have fragile blood vessels.

the upside to valsalva maneuvers is that it helps stabilize your core and your spine.

  • Help me with my biceps please, Video on my channel :( No haters please, i think i really need good advice!

  • Hi, I'm Jlvi and am 17 years old. If you need some help, please send me a message. On my channel you'll see 2 ab routines and me doing 2 finger push ups. I know quite a lot of working out and know enough to help you work your biceps. Please send me a message with some info: how much weight do u use, do you want to train with bodyweight, are you advanced or not, etc.

I will help you out if you give me this info!

  • and.....wtf is going to happen

  • thats just crap....

  • hey yall im in love with a lizard is that ok reply this and tell me what a jackass i am and by the way im a homo talk to u later.

    ps ur all niggers

  • well you can work your biceps using dumbbells by curling, let's say 3 sets of 50 reps. then you can work your triceps by doing push ups, which are good because they also do your shoulders and you fat ass, but it's okay as long as you're staying above the water because if your chin goes under the liquidy surface then you might receive a visit from the full range octopus who might show you how its done to tune the proper setting according to the copper in your fuck

  • 3 sets of 50 reps? are you off your head? theres such a thing as over working your muscle, then you will not have any effect, you should be looking to do 3 sts of 10 and when your on your 10th that is hen you should be struggling to lift it. thats what has been tried and tested in making muscles grow in size and strength

  • let's see..a white man in a video demonstration...no black guest appearences and still a "nigger" comment. What the hell?!!!

  • lol, welcome to youtube... I'm surprised he isn't going on about George Bush/Iraq/the new world order too...

  • aliens exists. banthowaga lon!

  • lol

  • hahahahahaha, thats hilarious

  • hey guys. im a wrestler in highschool and i wrestle 140-145 pounds. I am extremely strong for my weight but it doesnt look like it at all. Most of the kids i wrestle look alot bigger and stronger than me, but actually im stronger. I want to look bigger and have more mass but keep my strength. Is it possible to keep my strength and have more mass without gaining any weight? Does anyone have any tips?

  • you would have to lose fat, assuming that you have much to lose, and replace it with muscle.

  • leave it, work on strength mass means nothing if your stronger. deception can be a great advantage

  • If you gained mass with out gaining weight then it would just be useless bulk/bloat.

It would likely be dead weight and hinder your conditioning and relative strength.

  • I have a question. What is the longest time you should work out in one session? I've heard that working out more than an hour is hurtful instead of beneficial. Is that true? I find it difficult even when super setting to get a good work out in anything under an hour. Especially when doing either push or pull days.

  • thats true try to keep it under an hour. as long as you go 100% on every set, you shoulld get arount 12 sets in per session and be done on that muscle group for a week. ie on push day - 3 set bench, 3 set cable flyes, 3 set dips and 3 set military press

  • What the best exercise between the 2: planks or crunches?

  • plank makes you work more different muscles than crunches. Crunches isolates your ab section. While plank works all your core, basically all your upper body.

  • hello very helpful video thank you.

can anyone tell me a good bicep / tricep and upper body routine. oh and does anyone know how to find out their optimal weight for say dumbells. when you work out how hard are you supposed to push yourself? until you can really feel a burn or when you get tired or what? thanks for any help.

    from chasey.

  • you do not work out until you are tired, you work out until your muscles burn so bad you cant take it.

as for optimal weight you want to aim for between 6 and 12 reps depending on weather you are having a heavy or light day. heavy days to build muscle, and i believe light days are important as well for shaping and changing things up.

  • Does walking a St. Bernard work just as well as a treadmill? See my video response and let me know

  • Wait I have a question whenever I walk on a treadmill (srry if spelled wrong) after a few minutes my left side starts hurting. can explain what that can be plz reply. (I dont know if its my kidney or what) plz help.

  • I'm not a doctor, so you might want to get checked out. Usually pain in the side is experienced with running, not walking. And it is caused either by eating too close to running or ischemic hypoxia of the diaphragm muscle.

  • Hey I have a question is it safe to work shoulders, biceps, back, triceps, chest, abs, and parts of the lower body all in one day with rest the next day and then repeating. With 3 sets of 8 to 12 reps for each muscle group.

  • I am no expert but i would try to split that up; do half one day, half the other, alternate.

Make sure that you give your muscles at least 12 hours of rest.

I am also a strong believer if you concentrate on certain muscle groups (over "everything") on your workout schedule, it will be more beneficial over the long run. You can exert all your energy on "those" parts of the body, instead of trying to do everything at once.

You can do 10-20 min cardio before and after working out; drink tons h20!

  • My suggestions:

    Upper Body PUSH

    Lower Body

    Upper Body PULL

Do one grouping every other day so you only train one grouping once per week. You can work each muscle hard, and then take a nice break to rest and recover. :-)

My new book has ALL of the details. Check out my website. :-)

  • Awesome!

    Congrats on the new book!

  • @StandFirm

exactly how i train. if you're training hard enough you can only train once per week.

  • @leonidarizzo 48 hours of rest** depending on which muscle obviously, as they all heal at different speeds

  • hey why did you change all your videos by cutting little parts out and making a "new" video with the cut out part from the original video? Now you just have a lot of dumb videos and its hard to tell what video is what now. I liked your channel when you had all the original videos and not so many goofy edited ones, it looked more professional but now it looks like a child produced the vids for you.

  • Thanks for the feedback.

Some people thought I was dumb, boring, and talked too much. I was just trying to make myself a little more entertaining and get to one specific point with each video.

To tell you the truth, I'm having a lot more fun now too. However, over the next couple of months, I'm going to overhaul the whole thing (again). I hope you like it. :-)

For my "more professional side," check out VIDEOPROFESSOR. com. I should be launching there in the next couple of months.

  • would jumping jacks also help warm up the whole body?

  • Sure thing. Start slowly though because it is ballistic. :-)

  • Excellent video!!! I got more information here in 6 minutes then i did at the local gym in a month! 5 stars!!

  • Thanks! Don't forget to watch Tips 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 too... I speak even faster. :-)

Did you know that coffee allows your body to burn a higher percentage of fat during circulo-respiratory exercise. YEAH!!! But don't overdo a good thing.

Please check of my website and Subscribe and Share STANDFIRM. :-)

  • goddamn it i hate cardio, so boring...i supose to do 10 min but i jump off in 2 min, is that to bad to me? ps: i live in a very hot place, the temp around here is around 26~30ºC, i aways thought 10 min too much, what do you guys think?

  • My book on STAMIN is being released in a few months. Check out my website for more details.

In a nutshell, cardio is mandator, but it DOES stink sometimes. :-)

INTERVALS!!! 10 minutes is fine if you do it right. So is less. Up-Down. Fast-Slow. Hard-Easy.

    Brazil is awesome!

  • same here bro!! i think what you should do is just dedicate days to just cardio.. thats what i do.

  • most people dont bodybuild for a short time and then stop, bodybuilding is a lifetime commitment that takes every last ounce of effort to achieve your goals, and only people who want to change their bodies or get in shape are up to the task, I hope everyone who sees this will look up info on natural bodybuilding and hopefully get inspired to look great feel great and have some fun! Go natural bodybuilding!

  • That machine at 2:30 just made me think "nut crusher" lol

  • Thanks ...:D

  • yeah and in 2 days u'll be dead from the steroids

  • I've tried reading whilst on an exercise bike before, but I felt like I wasn't concentrating on actually exercising, so instead I listen to dance music that makes me wanna move whilst on my bike. Just thought I'd share that with people in case they get bored like me during exercising! It really helps me focus, and I find myself more into the whole workout =]

  • Doug is one of the few people on youtube who I rate for fitness training.

Note the distinct lack of steroid pumped muscles?

This guy knows what he's talking about.

  • Awesome angle for the cycling.

  • Just looked around at more of your videos and determined that I was too hasty in my negative comments. You look like you do a great job, and have an excellent facility. My apologies.

  • Just starting my 2008 drive to shed some weight and improve my fitness - this is great advice and inspiration. Thanks for making it available on YouTube!

  • Hm... Cardio before a workout. Split routines. Just like reading Muscle and Fiction back in the early 90's.

  • whats wrong with cardio before a workout? and i think split routines or supersets are fine to do sometimes.

  • thanks, it really makes me want to keep exercising.

  • great stuff

  • awesome tips!!

  • awesome advice =)

  • yes thought this was gonna be a joke like some other vids on here but this guy knows his stuff and how to train correctly. good job

  • Yeah... I tricked another one. :-)

  • It's nice to see some free, professionally-put--together health advice on YouTube. Thanks a lot.

  • I appreciate your appreciation!

  • thank you very much

  • Yeah, he really packs in a whole lot of information in a short period of time. What this guy just told you in 6 min, others make a complete DVD about it.

  • Hey, can I quote you on that? That's a good one! :-)

  • Everyone who wants 2 start working out these vids r a must!!!!
