My I ask you in your opinion what is your personal favorite shotgun, I ask you this because you seen like a pro, and I need a little help...

@darknessdeathsycth I tend to go with the M3, for a couple of reasons. OK, the Hyrda IS stronger, cooler, and all that stuff, but on your first playthrough, I would absolutely recommend the M3. It's available quiete early in the game, has huge firepower and the other stats are decent as well. By the time you get the Jail Breaker, it will vanish if you upgraded the M3. The fully upgraded Ithaca lacks the brute force, in my opinion.

My choice (for first playthrough), stick with the M3.

@darknessdeathsycth I tend to stick with the H&KP8, because it uses the least amount of ammo (bullet penetration). If it's raw power you're after, go with the SIG226.

To kill a Licker, use Nitrogen rounds with the Grenade Launcher. Freeze and shatter them.

I think the firepower it's great. I think Gustavo sayd it all, the Hydra shoot more pellets than the M3. And the speed and range are much better. No need to say about the badassness. I stay with Hydra.

The firepower of the shotguns in resident evil refers to the power of each individual "pellet". The M3 has the largest firepower stat, but fires less pellets than the hydra. I can't say what the exact numbers are, but the total firepower of a point-blank shot of a hydra is tougher than with the M3. Add the fact that there's a more concentrated blast at a range, and you've got a great standalone weapon that only takes practice to use effectively.

@accident7 did you check to make sure you m37 is competely upgrade. you don't need to beat to unlock it. only the chain gun and the long bow you need to beat the game to unlock those 2 weapons.

@golbezchaoslord yeah dude its fully maxed out in all of its catagories. i have all of the weapons i can possibly own fully upgraded except for the hydra cause the stupid game glitched or something. ive bought the ithaca 3 times over and upgraded it fully expecting to get the hydra and in the end i dont.... i think someone is going to have to team up with me online and buy/give me one cause theres no way its coming up on my game....
