Even though I write to Annette and Glen, mainly sending her a Birthday, Christmas, and Happy New Year card with a letters in them, the family will not give out any information about her condition, or the medicine or treatment she is recieving. I know Annette has had the MS for such a long time, I don't know if some of the new treatments would work on her, but I am not her doctor. I just write her to let her know we care. She is only 5 months older than me. I grew up watching her on TV.

Annette is getting the best care possible. Yesterday, Oct 22 was her Birthday. She turned 69 years young. She is still hanging in there, so don't listen to any rumors. Her family will not disclose her current condition.

@Rtmax45 My mother also has MS, its very difficult to watch someone deal with losing control of their body. I wonder if Annette has ever looked into that new treatment CCSVI. My mom had it done last year and had amazing results.

@rickysbestgirl She also complained about dizziness. She hid it from everyone for a long time, even when she was diagnosed with MS. Rumors started that she was an alcoholic. Her Father told her that if she came out and told everyone, it would help others who had the illness deal with it.

In the early 60s the Detergent Industry made a recall of detergent boxes sold to housewives who were mothers of teenagers. Many bathroom towels were found unusually starched, making the housewives think of starch contaminating the detergent boxes. @megamanmaniac yeah she says in the book it took many takes to film this song...and that she had a hard time dancing and walking down the lifeguard ramp, and kept tripping in the sand...its interesting how you can see when she was talking about holding onto the ramp and dancing at the same time to hold herself up, you can see that in this scene! She's an amazing woman and a beautiful actress! :) WE LOVE YOU ANNETTE!

@linda1067 My friend works at Costco in the San Fernando Valley. Annette used to come in, wheeled in by her nurse. She knew him by name, as he often carried items out to their car. He hasn't seen her for several years, but the last time, she could no longer speak. A real shame :(

ain't sure if Annette is dead or not, but she was a fantastic actress and singer. if she is deceased...may she RIP. Talent like Annette's only comes every so often, same for frankie avalon....talent has gone down hill a lot over the years, though, there is SOME good talent now

@megamanmaniac Be sure to buy the DVD to support the movie and her. If enough support is shown for this by sales, they'll rerelease it with special feaetures just like they do all other movies, the one that comes to mind is The Truman Show. It sold enough copies so they re-marketed a special feature DVD with all sorts of cool things. Imagine Back To The Beach with the preview on the DVD, and interviews from the cast, even Pee Wee.

Y'know.... I dearly do love Annette and Frankie in these Beach Party movies - Look for my handle in any beach clip and you'll see what I mean.

I have to say however, that this song can't compare to "I Think, You Think", "Because You're You" and the other ORIGINAL Beach Party songs.

It just goes to show, you cannot really go back, can you?

I still enjoyed the movie though! What the HELL is a - Jamacian SKA - anyway????

Ska is a style of music that led to reggae. It originated in Jamaica so saying Jamaican Ska is similar to saying New Orleans Jazz.

Bubba, its the trash can drum set from your garage...they really were Fishbone's...there they are. If only I had found this video before we trashed the trash can drum set.

Fishbone are very underrated and need to come out with a poppy album to rake in the money they deserve as musicians. Adrian is the next Clara Rockmore on the Theremin all while jam'n a git and belting out his opera pitches. Norwood rips period.
