This is awesome, as good as SRV which is going to make me cry just to admit :( Unbelievable & not the OLD Roy Rogers but some young cat I ain't never seen or heard before, going to change that NOW though.
I just got home from seeing Roy and his band at the Triple Door in Seattle. INCREDIBLE performance. He is like the direct link back to the masters. We must speak of this player often. He must be known by all. ;-)
I was watching some videos with Rory Gallagher, and just blindly clicked on one of the suggested videos, listened for about a minute or two, and thought "Hey, this isn't Gallagher", and now i know who Roy Rogers is, best accident ever!!!
George Thorogood should've spent some time at this guys feet. Roy is much more creative. Listen to that stuff around 3.00 minutes, blows up your mind!
I saw Roy many years ago in Wheeling at the Heritage Blues Fest and he absolutely blew me away. Really turned me on to wanting to learn the delta slide.
@TanguyHaers haha, I'm retarded? Well that's the beauty of the internet, I can do whatever I want and comment on whatever I want; just like you, and if you don't like it...well frankly that's not my problem!
Roy is one of my favorites.... All the cuts from Roger's video are great! In fact they are better than his albums. Wish they would just put these versions on a CD or allow purchase of the MP3's.
sad state of affairs that everyone knows who Shakira, Britney Spears, Akon, etc are, but this guy goes unnoticed by the general public. great player, great tone and an awesome voice to boot.
@mattymick12 I was thinking just that. But, perhaps if unknown geniuses like these fell in the hands of the public, they could easily become corrupted by the mainstream and the evils of the music industry. They'd lose their purity. Thanks to youtube, those who appreciate this stuff can enjoy their craft and these bluesmen are kept from corruption. Interesting.

hey all. I have a 60-year old f-hole columbian minor acoustic guitar. Has anyone ever heard of this make, and can anyone tell me something about it? Ive taken it to a few guitar shops and no one has ever seen this guitar.
They say Duane Allman was one of the best that ever lived. I feel Ron Wood is pretty damn underrated as far as his SLIDE work as well, Slide on this, Ronny!
buy stock i ment bone nuts low action and .09 strings and rory never was backed buy fender bought the guitar when he was 13 and had the same one till he died then fender came knocking to make replicas you dont need no drobo to play slide you can do it on anything and still get a sweet ass tone!
