Among moviegoers, Car has a reputation as being "the worst film Pixar has ever made."

While I certainly agree that it is not up to the standard of their more adult masterpieces like WALL-E or Finding Nemo, I certainly don't think it deserves the kind of hate people have been throwing at it.

The humour was good, the visuals are impressive (it IS Pixar we're talking about) and there were some genuinely touching moments.

While it may not be a brilliant filn, it is certainly a good one.

I don't get why so many people hate on this movie. Lots of them claim it to be Pixar's weakest and that making a sequel to it is wrong. I think Cars had a lot of meaning and a lot of heart. Maybe even more heart that Wall-e. In my opinion, Cars was one of the best of Pixar's films. For me, it does not top Monsters Inc. and Nemo, but it sure gets the 3rd place of my list. As for Cars 2, I'm pretty excited, too bad it only got mixed reviews in America but it's my personal opinion that matters.

I enjoy watching this movie over and over. What's so refreshingly suprising is that there's no "Political Correctness" spin on it. The late Paul Newman as "Doc Hudson", Larry the Cable Guy as "Mater", racing star Richard Petty and the rest of the cast were outstanding. This moive should have won an award.

That #57 car was Lightning's prototype/concept but it was dumped. Can't wait for Cars 2 when Lightning & Mater are said to go off touring the world. This isn't official yet, it won't be ready till 2011. Mind you has anyone seen the Official Toy Story 3 trailer yet? It's funny!

Yep, I avoided seeing this movie for along time till a few days ago.I thought it was a kiddie movie directed more to the young kids considering Pixar made toystory and those other kiddie kind of shows.I have to say that theres alot more to the movie when watched as an adult.Lots of correct information too such as the Hornet dominating the races in the movie which they did in real life.Even down to Flo`s dinner which the sparkplugs flash on top in a ford flat head firing order. Great movie though

The car that wins the race in the racing scene was Lightning McQueen's original design and number, 57. 57 stood for John Lasseter's birth year, but they changed it to 95 standing for the year their first full length movie. The first part was so funny. I wish it was actually in the movie.
