I hear a message in the first 40 seconds, "You are no good. You're worthless without attaching yourself to this potentially mythical entity." Nobody knows for certain about these things--but telling people they are worthless isn't necessarily a very valuable thing. I think it's possible to believe that you are good, you are capable of doing good, you are sufficient, worthy--you haven't done anything bad. This belief is also legitimate.
Even 'bad' people are capable of doing 'good', it doesn't make them any better of a person though. Ultimately without God, were nothing. Its not by works that we were saved, but God's grace. Doing 'good' in the world's view doesn't always turn out to be 'good', heck they consider homosexually 'good' now, so what happens when I'm confronted about that? Tell them to believe their 'good' anyway?
@dustandscratches i agree with your opening statement which is part of what society and counseling has planted into our minds. Jesus himself said no man is good. only one which is in heaven. if we do good it is because Christ is in us, or God in his Sovereignty has allowed it to be so. homosexuality....its simple, i believe paul wrote that in the end times what is good will be called evil, and what is evil will be called good, it also says that it will be as like the days of sodom and gomorrah
If you only knew the love that God has for you...let him unharden your heart and take away your pain. Give your life to Jesus Christ and trust him and he will send you the Holy Spirit that will bear testimony of him that he is REAL. Without the Holy Spirit the scripture is dead to you. Accept Christ and it will become alive! You will truly live for the first time...if not you are already dead. Jesus Christ is Reality! I would not lie to you. You must experience the rebirth.
