  • chicken soup to the lonely soul

  • Instrumental? PLEASE.

  • Absolutely beautiful

  • Have you guys heard Bradford Cox's cover of Leonard Cohen's song "Seems So Long Ago, Nancy"?!?!?!? You NEED to check it out if you're a Bradford Cox fan.

  • Beautiful!!!

  • Some of these sounds --> Ris Paul Ric

  • provokes angry comments ? strange. If i don't like somin i move on lol

  • this is shit... no really, I mean it... It's like enya but slightly more boring... I wish it would end it's just painful, maybe I should close the window and the pain will go away.. I think if time allowed she would dribble on with this shit forever... A fate worse then hell, if hell existed, maybe the time I have spent listening to this is hell, I fell bad for listening to it. She couldn't have any fans as anyone who listens to this over an extended period would want to kill them selves.

  • @lockednliftedgq you unintelligable fool...

  • @Tiffanybudd1n Condescending bitch.

  • @lockednliftedgq just going to say, this is nothing like enya. i don't see the point of you posting such a negative comment when thumbs downing the video would suffice.

  • This made the evening whole.

  • Awesome song. AWESOME! The pic looks like Barry Pepper. Much respect to him.

  • i feel like lying on a hammock while the afternoon sun shines directly at me.at some beach somewhere

  • I love this song! A DJ on wdbx.org played it and I am going to steal it for my show! I have to see this guy!

  • Bro, I've missed you in Austin a good five times. Come to SXSW, pretty please!

  • the beginning sounds like save me by justin norzuak

  • i feel hipster

  • @madthrasher86 Put on your skinnies, grab your messenger bag, put on your head-phones, listen to something obscure, and go to that coffee shop in that alley no one knows about.

  • @madthrasher86 you're missing the point

  • My favorite part of the song was at 3:38-6:25 Very interesting music in there.

  • To everyone: if you are feeling this, then great. If you don't....... I'm sorry.

  • hold those giant ass hands? lol

  • oh man, where are the true rock stars nowadays, the true spirit of rock!! the transgessional one!! the true one!!! It´s that all there is now?

  • Omg shut up

  • My initial post was designed to rattle cages and start a lively debate. Am I guilty of the dissociative behavior that pervades the internet? Yes, constantly. It is subjective that I called this Muzak for wimpy indy kids. I was being truthful in my assessment and I'm sure that others would agree with me. You say that I belittle the music of others. True. I also praise the music of others. I like to strike a balance. Read what people are saying about the Lou Reed-Metallica colab. I agree...

  • @PATYPUS3 .....with the consensus' opinion. The irony of all of this is that I don't hate Atlas Sound. I hear potential. My main point is that there seems to be this trend in indy music right now that I find insipid. I just checked out the 25 albums of the year on the Onion AV and it was dominated by stuff like this and mediocre hip-hop. I take issue more against this post-emo drippiness more than I take issue with Atlas Sound in particular.

  • @PATYPUS3 I couldn't agree more. I read the Onion, Consequence of Sound, Pitchfork and Rolling Stone lists (top 50 and 40 lists, other than the Onion's 25). I wrote down the 28 bands that sounded interesting. This is the 6th fail out of 7 so far, with only the Weeknd arousing curiosity. I haven't gotten to the harder punk stuff I like yet, but it seems like the trend toward wimpy and insipid continues.

  • @ronaldwitt You find this music weak and uninteresting? I hear so much soul in this music, it rolls over you like a wave. If you're into the harder punk stuff then obviously you wouldn't like this, its the opposite.

  • @Pogan456 It is the opposite: it is utterly devoid of passion AND it is soulless and bland. I do like passionate music that is tuneful and pop oriented as well as punk. The Atlas Sound is exceptionally dull and long winded musically, and utterly dead on the human level. The lyrics are also among the worst I've ever heard...sad, self pitying and full of bathos. It's very easy to drown in an undertow...

  • I like this music so i must be devoid of passion, soulless and bland. Thank you for making me aware of this I am truly enlightened. I will TRY to continue and live my dull life, which is utterly dead inside on any human level. I can only hope that one day i will reach the passion and meaningfulness of your life and your punk rock music. Pity me pity me.

  • @icarussound1 Trust me that I do pity you and your entire generation, raised on TV and the internet, brain damaged and sexless, and without any real human emotions. You are all bland little ciphers with no meaning or purpose to your lives. You've been told what to feel, think and believe, and you wouldn't recognize authentic art if it bit you in the ass. Despicable. Even sadder is that you're all so nice and would never think of offending anyone...just like the bland music you like.

  • @icarussound1 just so you know bradford cox is heavy into punk rock. with out punk rock there'd be no bradford. Don't belittle punk rock.

  • Extremely boring. This is like Muzak for wimpy indie kids.

  • @PATYPUS3 Thumbs up for the funny comment. Cretinous, but amusing.

  • @PATYPUS3

What an incredible insight you have. Ever think of being a music critic?

  • @R34n1mated Oh, is this music? Actually, the modern day music critic gushes and lionizes such uninspired music such as this. I read reviews on Pitchfork about how such and such band is the greatest thing since the invention of the corndog. Then I listen to such and such band and they usually sound like humorless, autistic suburbanites on prozac.....such as Atlas sound.......face it......

  • @PATYPUS3

My friend, such is the power of subjectivity. To belittle the music of others on such grounds is of great disrespect to yourself. If you please, elaborate on how this is uninspired and why this man cannot produce "music" to your definition, prove a solid ground and you may have some merit.

  • Christ, this just gets better and better

  • i lost my legs in nam' for this?! .... best fucking deal ever.

  • @gibson9435 fuck all you people that jumped on the deerhunter trend too late & now think that this mediocre melodramatic pop music is worth paying attention to... life was better when they were making cool pseudo-punk music or at least real dreamy gazey stuff

  • @JMcGmusic lol fuck you then, its sad that you find deerhunter as a trend. deerhunter isnt cox, this is completely seperate. You're ignorant to try and relate anything to this new album, time changes everyone, and especially artists. and who the fuck is stupid enough to describe any kind of work as shallow as "dreamy gazey" lmao

  • mmmmmmmmm

  • them 9 dislikes, ya fuck yu 9 people who disliked this video!!!

  • holy fuck. that ambience at the end..

  • Cannot wait for this record. I just think Bradford Cox is the freakin' best.

  • Did this remind anyone else of Gonjasufi?

  • This kind of reminds me of Grizzly Bear. Maybe it's the production.

  • This song is a rip off of Jefferson Airplane "Coming back to me". Its on youtube.

  • @217potato You mean the best piece of music written that has been recorded and you've heard in this new decade?

  • @pirateblackburn That's right. The 2010s. It is a young decade, so I am sure it will be topped. For now, this rules hard.

  • 正!

  • farking awesome stuff

  • This song represents the current state of Protoss in SC2. Powerful yet hopeless.

  • @Wwhackk You'd have to explain that one to me. Still good to see a SC player on here.

  • @adrianbeloo lol i just mean that this song goes along with the helpless state that protoss is currently in the metagame of sc2 XD. Pretty much all of Protoss' builds are now easily countered by Terran and Zerg. Zerg is getting a major nerf in the coming patch to their OP unit called infestors which can trap in an entire Protoss army with a spell called Fungal Growth that stuns and does AOE damage, and if u have mass infestors u can have chain fungal growths..

AS for Terran..I cant even explai-

  • Looking forward to this release.

  • Bradford Cox is a beauty blessed to us by the eternal hands of an inferior being, with his sedated ambient music I know longer have a need for seeing.

  • @velvetgluestick Whoa.

  • one of the greatest musicians of our generation.

  • I shave my pubes to this
