I think Dave does a really good job on his solo projects. I think his solo album is great... and such a good songwriter. Martin's still the best songwriter but Gahan's voice og my god, I love his sexy voice! Depeche Mode forever!!!

Angiegeorge how do you dare give opinions about DM when their most commercial album is obviously your favourite or even the only one you know. Can't be a real fan of DM and like songs from Playing the angel (which are very hip-hopalike) more than Ultra or Exciter.

Strange, I'm an old man it seems. To me, DM was a British band of the 80s -- I have no use for this American band of the 2000s. Ultra, Exciter, Playing the angel -- these are all pale afterthoughts as compared to the REAL Depeche Mode of Black Celebration, Violator and Songs of faith and devotion. I do think though that Exciter was the absolute bottom, Ultra was one step before reaching the bottom and Playing the angel gives forlorn hope that the way goes up from there.
