I LOVE this movie..I've heard they are making a sequal and it's coming out in 2014 :) Of course one of my favorite scenes is that one when Toothless goes after Hiccup in the fire to save him...really touching gives me goose bumps and brings a tear to my eye!

I read on TVTropes that the makers of HTTYD were inspired by other animal movies, including Spirit, which is why the scene is similar

One of my favourite lines in the movie is at the first dragon training session. Astrid says "It's only fun if you get a scar out of it" and Hiccup replies in the most unconvincing voice "Yeah, no kidding, right? Pain. Love iiit..." Tickled me.

My favourite (funny) part in the movie is when Hiccup's just leaving the campfire and they're talking about who's gonna win the tournament and Tuffnut says: "It's gonna be ME. It's my destiny! Look at this" then Fishlegs, "Whoa, your mom let you get a tattoo?!" "No, it's my birthmark!" Ruffnut: "Uhh, I've been stuck with you since BIRTH and that was never there before." Tuffnut: "Yes it was, you've just never seen me from the left side before!" <--- that makes me laugh SO MUCH :D

I haven't read the books yet, but I heard a few fans were dissapointed because it was different from what they expected, actually, I think Harry Potter was the same way.

@MynameisP57 Well, this is from me, who love the Harry Potter books. I loved the books so much and adored them and had three of the books side by side with my pillow (I was young, okay).

I was excited to see the HP movie but when I saw it, my 1:t thought was "worst movie of the year!" for me it was so bad I almost burned the books (thx god I didnt). it isnt because the movie wasnt like the book. I read and saw Lotr and loved both. HP movie does sux for many reasons but amazing people love it
