The label should face up or down, that way you hit with the grain, instead of against it. It is much more likely to break the bat if you hit against the grain.

He had to be holding it wrong because he hit those balls on the meat of the bat and they snapped and the only way you can snap a bat is if you have it the wrong way.... you have a better chance of not breaking it if you dont hit it on the sweet spot when youre facing the label the correct way

Honestly I think it was stupid to have his dad pull him out of high school for his last two years. Truthfully don't know if he is ready. Saw him this summer in the Cary NC USA Tournament of the Stars in that game he went 0-4 with 3 K's against a Legion pitcher from the Cary NC area who is decent. From what I heard he ended up going 1-13 with 8 K's. This just shows everyone is human. In my opinion his dad made a mistake pulling him out of high school. Whatever floats their boat though.

He generates crazy bat speed, but he has holes that will get exposed if he doesn't adjust.
