OMG! Just saw my first ThreadBanger Vid., sexy bedroom, & the comment abt boycotting Youtube cuz of commercials, & came here only to encounter my one most-hated commercial; the Morman one (the length, is annoying, not the message) LOL.
wow!! with the left over materials i 've got i willgive it a go, the pillow you just made is so expensive in the shops..thanks for a good money saver..DIY rules!!!
Its nearly 5am in the morning & I just cant sleep watching all of your videos, im moving out tomorrow to my very first single appartment, so i just needed you guys! thank you so much.
nevertheless, id like to ask you for some tips; im trying to have some fun with LED lights and furniture, like sofas or coffe tables so i hope that you could give us some ideas!
Yay DIY! I have such A.D.D when it comes to my crafts. I've just become a collector of craft supplies. lol! I really need to get some ambition in sticking to my guns and finishing something. There should be a craft-buddy website that like, hooks you up with someone else interested in the same crafts-someone to correspond with on your progress, ask advice, etc. I'm rambling. :P
Love this idea! I am from the East Village and I must say there are lots of thread heads out here. Thanks for all your excellent ideas and for taking the old stuff and sewing new life back into it.. We can save the earth and preserve some old traditions. You are all so inspiring and amazing! Keep up the good work!
u can make a pillow that has 2 dif side/colors on it ,like take 2 an old ts, and rip and sew in to a pillow with dif color (one t on 1 side the other on... the other side). i still have "decor add" but i dont have as many pillows!
Ooooh, love the Rose idea for the pillow, how much fabric would I need if I want the whole pillow front to be a rose instead of having some of the other fabric show through?
I wish more time had been spent really showing us the NY Nest... The film was hard to follow, choppy, bouncy...I didn't really know what I was looking at...or if I saw something I liked, the film jumped to something else before I could get a really good view or figure out how I could duplicate that look at home. Much more time was spent on the rooftop view. That's something I can't ever replicate...don't waste my time, please. Show me info of value instead.
I wish it were easier to find all the Decor It Yourself episodes, it'd be the sweetest thing if you guys could have a big playlist on the Threadbangers page, or a seperate profile.
Thank you guys all so much for your support, views, comments and love over the last 20 weeks. I love making this show each week for you, and you make it even better by showing such love on here. Thank you.
It would be a cushier pillow with a different stuffing. Plus, putting old fabric inside is a waste of the perfectly good fabric! Like, maybe use an old pillow's insides for this, if you don't want to buy a bag of fiberfill.
What's up with the super-speedy apartment tour. I couldn't even see what it looked like. Why bother showing it if you can't even slow it down long enough to see it?! What a joke.
Maybe it would be crap if YOU made it, and of horrible quality, but some of us can sew, thank you, and can do a much better job than some korean kid working in a sweatshop churning out hundreds of overpriced look-alike pillows a day for some major retailer!!!
really? some co incidences like that are also happenning to me.. sometimes I wonder if it's magic, or de javu, a sign or something magical.. but I believe that it's just a co incidence
To help with rose-making: Sew some gathering stitches along the one side. Basically, set the machine to a looong stitch length and run two rows of stitching along one edge, parallel. Do not back stitch. Pull opposite ends of the thread tails to gather. Then tack down the rose. It will come out more ruffle-ly.
oh wwow, the lacy petal makes d pillow look expensive. am so buying a sewing machine!

Did everyone notice the cute meow tucked up next to the pillow? Those are my favorite pillows but they tend to run when you lie on them.

Yes! The beat was totally Skid Row inspired. Good ear.

i love the rose idea, but i think i'd like it a lot more if it covered one entire side, rather than just being randomly there in the middle.
