That does not mean I am absolving congress from their part in the crafting and passing of this bill, but I accept your argument. Pres. Obama authorized U.S. PVT. Bradley Manning tortured. Bush authorized the torture of 15 British residence who have received millions of dollars in Retribution for their gov. part in their torture in Guantanamo. These are both criminal actions. George Washington warned against having a Pres. because his power could become once again as a "KING."

@TheSoleTop Actually, it's procedurally impossible to challenge the indefinite detention provisions in court. To bring a case to court, you have to have standing. The only way to have standing is to be affected by it directly, namely, get arrested and have it apply to you. However, if it applies to you, you're denied a lawyer, thus cannot challenge it in court. It's rather brilliant, actually.

As for the police state... the Rubicon of tyranny is always two steps ahead, it seems.

Maybe you should read the Constitution, even though a huge majority is bullshit, and no longer relevant to today's world.
