sad Comcast took my GSN away and moved it to the Digital Starter package.Cannot afford that, but i like the tympaniroll,as it was also used during price reveals in the grocery gane, etc.on what is now ABC Family.I hope there is a good quality clip of the games that have the drumroll and monty saying "THe Price is...."Thanks,Brainy,Brainman Media
This was the ending theme from I think the 1974-1975 season if I am not mistaking. GSN was on that season before killing the classic series in June '09 for Meredith Vierra's crappy version of Millionaire. GSN should NOT have stopped airing LMAD, I stopped watching GSN after LMAD disappeared. I watched the new LMAD when it first aired, but Wayne Brady is not a Monty Hall. Call me picky but I like the classic LMAD, nuff said!
I AGREE WITH YOU!!!! I stopped GSN cuz they took out classic shows to make room for other crappy shows!! the classic LMAD with Monty Hall is the best!!! I wish they the Best of Let's Make a Deal with Monty Hall on DVD in the future! Uncut and restored from original masters!
These people, dressed as they are, have come from all over the United States to trade at the marketplace of America, Let's Make a Deal! Starring TV's big dealer, Monty Hall!
Whenever I listen to the Christmas music on our local radio station, there's one song that reminds me of this classic theme: 'We Need a Little Christmas' (Roll Out the Holly).

My b/f and I are both car salesmen and we get a laugh at the old "Let's Make A Deal" cuz they use such old pieces of shit cars as prizes. LOL

I think all game shows did back then. You know it's bad when the best car given is a Chevette.

Sheldon Allman wrote the theme, and Ivan Ditmars (and his ensemble) played it every day- LIVE, in the studio- for 13 years.

Quick, do you have a hard boiled egg in your purse? If you do, it's worth $100! Sir, do you have a wallet? Is it black, you've won $50.

Well, the show is coming back, this time on CBS (LAMD has been on all big three networks now:NBC 1963-68 & 1990,ABC 1968-1976,and CBS 2009-?).
Hope that Wayne Brady can do Monty Hall proud.
