  • Thanks Tom! Since you liked this video, please check out my more recent upload of Wonderful Land. It is a big improvement over this version.

    Cheers, James

  • Nice sound and very good playing .

    paul

  • Hi Paul,

Thanks for the nice comments. I like your version too - well done!

    Cheers, James

  • Beautiful sound and excellently played ! 5***** from here. Keep it up !

  • Hi Herman,

Thanks for taking the time to watch my video and for your kind remarks. I'm very glad you enjoyed it.

    All the best, James

  • James. The Ampkit has a Vox AC30 amp app you can buy to add to the collection. I am also getting the delays and you can stack them. Looks interesting and fun to play with. The whole set up will cost me 15.00 dollars. It id not perfect and like your set up but if I really get into all the Shadow songs I will buy the hard gear. Where did you get the backing tract for Wonderful Land? Thanks

  • @photobart1

Sounds like fun! I'll send you a message regarding the backing tracks.

    Best wishes, James!

  • I have the whole song down now. I just need the goodies (echo and delays) to make it sound like it was meant to be played. Thanks for the help.

  • @photobart1

No problem - Let me know if I can be of any further help.

    Cheers, James

  • Nice cover of my favorite Shadow song. I am trying to figure out the sound through the AmpKit App delay on the IPhone. Have you tried that yet or anyone out there played with the Ampkit for sound of Hank Marvin.

  • @photobart1

Thanks for the nice comments. I am aware of the Ampkit app, but have not used it personally. Looks like a very cool app. I guess you would need multi-tap echo and a Vox AC15 or AC30 simulation to get close to the Hank Marvin sound.

    Thanks again, James

  • Hi George,

Thanks for taking the time to watch my video and comment. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yes, as you mentioned, the multi-tap delays are generated by the TVS3 and I use the AC15 or AC30 amplifier simulations in the PODxt Pro, as well as its USB connectivity for recording to a computer.

    All the best, James

  • Hi Jas, Love your sound. What part does the pod play in your sound? The TVS3 does the delays, so i assume you just use the amp model on the pod, AC30 Top box or similar. Does the TVS3 not do the whole job? I actually gig with just the POD straight into P.A. My SHADOWS sound is not as pure as yours. if i wasn't so lazy i would get a TVS3 and take that out as well

  • Very good sound and rendition, once again.

I installed on my '2011 Fender American Deluxe Strat an "Easy Mute" Tremolo Arm, much nicer in the hand, allowing palm muting in the best conditions. You should try it.

  • Hi Montaigne92,

Thanks for the kind comments. Yes, I heard good things about the 'Easy Mute' tremolo arm. I did try it one time, but maybe I'll give it another try.

    Best wishes, James

  • ok, but watch out for TT (tuning and timing).

    TVS3 sounds good.

  • @esbra - Thanks for the comment. Glad you enjoyed the sound of the TVS3.

    Cheers, James

  • Hi jastree.....great playing, really enjoyed it . Any chance you can send me copies of your apache and wonderland backing tracks. my e-mail is clint@nbmc.co.za. I have tracks but they are no match for yours thx.

  • Hi Clint,

Thanks for the nice comments. I have been asked not to share those backing tracks, but I have sent you a couple of other excellent backing tracks and a link to more.

    Cheers, James

  • About this one, wonderful sound, very well played. Great technique. Congratulation.

Does the TVS# a tape Echo? Thesound is very warm. What Amp do you use?

    Very good

    Guy Bodart from the Mec-op-Singers

  • Hi Guy,

This is one of my favourite Shadows numbers and I'm glad you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed playing it. The TVS3 is not a tape echo, but it simulates the warmth of an early Meazzi Echomatic. For this track I used a Vox AC30TB simulation.

    Thanks, James

  • very nicely played....

  • Thanks Leo - I appreciate your very nice comment!

  • Hello James,
