Hey Fritz!! I just watched this one again. I remember seeing this a long time ago just by searching for HVAC videos before I was subscribed to you, cool!! That Bryant looks familiar...LOL!!
@AVTreasures Hey Ray !!! I need to try some searches like that and see if any more of my videos pop up like that , to cool !!! I know I just tried typing in Fern Creek Ky , and several popped up !!!
Contract stated the removal of all old equipment and haulin said equipment away , she found her self another Home for the time being , till she Blows or Brother can afford new Equipment !!! LOL ...
1) Is there enough combustion air for both water heater and furnace in that room?
2) Looks like there might be a problem with the natural draft water heater and the negative pressure created by the ventor motor causing carbon monoxide to spill from the draft hood into the home.
My Opinion =
Combustion air from the outdoors sounds like a good idea. (High efficient always good to go outdoors for combustion air)
@condensereleven11 Hey whats up man , sorry I did not get right back to you ! I have been in the hospital , I may have to go back in after I talk to my Primary Doctor !!!
Canada has differant HVAC laws than we do , just like Australia has differant HVAC laws than England , or Kentucky has differant HVAC laws than California !
@fritzhvac Point being if you are to look forward in my videos here , of this particular installation , you will see that Kentucky Code Enforcement Inspectors came to my Job , to inspect the New 95% RGRC Furnace which I was installing, you will see that there is a Green Code Enforcement Sticker on the Return Drop stating , that this system met all code requirements for the state of Kentucky . We do utilze , the IMC code book , IFGC code book , and the NEC code book .
@fritzhvac The point being every State, and every Country see things a little differant I go above and beyond code for the state of Kentucky, all my Jobs are permitted and inspected.
I have every Manual for the Rheem/Ruud line,if you are a HVAC contractor you can order them from Rheemote,Part Number is OTNSM-SO2 this is the latest edition 12 manual series ,I actually have a video of them on here to,if you want to take a peak .Some really Great Service and Install, for all residential equipment
@fritzhvac Point being on the 95%RGRC is actuall a 2 pipe system 95% system , not all High Efficient furnaces have to have a combustion pipe venting to the outside, this is where you are making a presumption . I am looking at my 95% High Efficiency Single Stage Gas Furnace Service Manual , which includes the RGRC(Rudd) and RGTC(Rheem) Models out of Fort Smith Arkansas not Canada , Canadian law may supercede your installs , but this is a American product , that states in the manual that this
Furnace can obtain Combustion Air from the basement with another gas fired appliance .
See if you had the American Installation Guide and Manuals you would be able to read it for yourself !!! They are about 120 to 180 dollars . The only reason I am stating this way is I am able to see the comments you removed and some of the comments you made to other people !
@fritzhvac Like the Comment you posted to MrHINIz where you stated NOT AMERICA , CANADA !!! IT is OFFENSIVE to LUMP CANDIANS in with AMERICANS !!! HMMM ? Did I misinterpret the point you were making ? If I did I apologize up front !!!
I have friends and subscribers on here from the Great Countries such as Canada , Australia , United Kingdom , Brazil , Argentina , Mexico , Africa , the list goes on and on , and I always give them my utmost respect !!!
@fritzhvac Sorry about the lengthy reply ! To answer your questions in a short manor , Yes way beyond enough combustion air for two Gas Fired Appliances out of my IFGC Code book , and my Code Enforcement Inspectors make Damn sure I do !!! Yes with the RGRC (Ruud) 95% gas fired furnace you must vent exhaust outside up to code and you can vent your combustion to basement.
I appreciate you commenting , feel free to comment again , maybe we got off on wrong foot , maybe we can start again !!!
@fritzhvac Your right, I may have been a little harsh with my comments, I'm in between jobs right now and it's frustrating. I have no right to take it out on youtubers.
Canadian Gas Code is quite a bit more strict from what I gather. So as long as you know it's right and up to code in your area I'm cool : )
In future I won't take my frustrations out on obviously stand up Gas Techs.
I have been in the trade many years , and started my own company less than two years ago , really struggling to get my name out there , thangs are super tight , and getting sick with no insurance is really frustrating too , the Bills don't Stop coming in my friend !!!
Hey man I wish you all the luck in the world , and I hope everything works out for you soon !!!
