I think he loved the America of the Founding Fathers: a melting-pot of all faiths and views: freedom realized. At least that's what I understand from reading his books. I guess if you don't read his books, you might have better informed opinions about him

Studs Terkel was a COMMIE Jew like so many growing up in the early 20th century whose parents escaped to the U.S. to work, live, and THRIVE yet their children sought to pollute our social/political system with their ethocentrism & socialism. He (and his type) should be despised.
