Great job beating Kaa! I struggled with it. Kaa in a NES version was hard but at least I could use 'masks' for awhile

It's a great game, especially for those who loved NES & Sega versions. This one is even more vivid, diverse, and yes, it's much harder. One great flaw is that you cannot collect much weapon (like 99 double bananas) or masks that give you invincibility for a longer time. On the other side it's cool that you don't need to find a certain number of diamonds to complete the level.

the best memory of me playing this when i was younger, was even though you'd get aggravated cause u lost a life and Mowgli dies, i thought it was so funny how he would be taken out in a gurney by some monkeys. i don't know why, but that was the funniest part of the game for me :)

Wow. This has totally different levels compared to the mega drive/genesis and NES versions. I wonder if this is because Nintendo didn't want the same exact game on both the NES and the SNES and asked Virgin to re design the levels or something.

There is a PC version but that one is a Genesis Port and yeah the best way to play the SNES version is with emulator.

When I first got this game, Kaa wasnt very easy to defeat at frist, but now hes like a level 1 to me xD The guy I CANNOT get past is the King of the Monkeys, you know the guy that sang "I wanna be like YOU! Talk like you! TOoOoO!" I always got passed Kaa but that monkey, I never did get passed him out of all those year's -_- once it got to the level where Kaa appears I always danced to the music :)

I recently got this game for the Genesis (still have one). It isn't as fun as the SNES one (which I had when I was a child).

Also, I used to have a Game Genie, and I would always put in a code that would let you play as "the rock", such as the one at 0:18. Made the game seem more fun. lol.

not quite. in the genesis version you have greater control.. for instance you can climb up swinging vines and aim your weapons diagonally.. and mogli moves much much more fluidly in the gen version.. if you look at the virgin games for snes/gen you'll notice that their gen versions tend to be superior.. (jungle book, robocop vs terminator, etc)
