Michael Moore caused more problems for flint than he solved. Watch the documentary "Shooting Michael Moore" by one of Moores own High school classmates. Also read the books "Michael Moore is a big frat white guy" & "Do as i say, Not as i do" by Peter Schweizer.
The American idea that EVERYONE can get rich is so wrong.
If you embrace free markets and capitalism not everyone will be as rich as the richest persons in the country.
What happens is that the entire countries wealth grows which makes the rich richer, the middle class richer and the poor get richer. Although the poor will be able to live a much better life then they did 10-20 years ago they will still be poor compared to the rich because the whole society GROWS in capitalism!
I am a Vocolist and I had Chance to Sing in Germany and Holland and Canada but in Germany in Studio47 in Duisburg on Television & on Stage Live . The callèd WAHNSINN!! & RECALL !! We had to go back to Canada because of my Wife,s Illness! I am her Caretaker for the last 6 year,s but it is hart on me, since I have a backproblem and we lost everything!! We had 2 Suitcases each!! My Wife,s Disablity is below the Living Standard.Wenn she called her Worker? He said:" put a ADD on Greglist!!
I tried to get assistance & was constantly turned down even though I had no heat in my house in gthe dead of winter & no food. They told me I make too much.......if I made too much I obviously wouldn't be without heat or food.
@vinmaster25 I apologize for the misunderstanding. I wasn't calling Michael Moore evil. I was calling him an idiot. Did you watch the video "MEN ARE EVIL"? It's a commentary video by barbarossaaaa. After watching that video you should understand why I think Michael Moore is an idiot.
@clumpofdirt77 no i didnt did you watch zeitgeist? and btw men are evil but michael moore just trys to point out what he think should be changed which isnt evil
@vinmaster25 Zeitgeist? Is that the video that was made to try to disprove Christianity? If that's the one, then yes, I've seen it. I know that Michael Moore doesn't explicitly say that men are evil, but he implies it by saying that men are responsible for all the evils in the world. If you haven't already, please watch the video by barbarossaaaa that I recommended.
@vinmaster25 The first one is bad for this reason: It is a lie to say that, as a rule, men are the oppressors and women are the oppressed. And yes, Michael Moore does believe that men are naturally violent creatures.
Anyway, we've taken up far too much room on this thread talking about a subject that isn't relevant to this video. I shouldn't have submitted my original comment! One last thing. You mentioned Zeitgeist. do yourself a favor and watch the refutation of it.
@vinmaster25 Here are some reasons: He still chants the tired mantra that men are oppressors and women are oppressed, and he truly believes that inside every man is a rapist and a vicious murderer. In short, he believes that the Y chromosome is evil.
'Wage-earners are but slaves to the masters who hire them. They are temporary slaves, and their slavery lasts as long as they work for wages from employers, be they individuals or the state.'
This college dropout has no right to call himself an activist when he hasn't actually created any meaningful change. Michael Moore's behavior is the opposite of his beliefs! He doesn't like fast food giants (he's fat,) he's against large companies (Michael Moore has stocks in several large companies, including Haliburtion,) he's very big on anti-racism (Farhenheit 9/11's film crew was all-white,) he's pro-union (he discourages his employees from joining them.)
-I've seen the movie,is completely biased, shows a lot of people who borrowed a lot of money and didn't paid, had their collateral seized and now is playing victim, wants us to feel sorry for them, pointless.
@Pookypaws I not only disagree with mm. I would not fight to the death for his right to say what he says. in fact if someone was torturing him to death, I would watch and laugh.
Its not communis the solution neither capitalism we need to be a smarter people dont trust your goverment dont go to war just educate your kids right and not stupid and there will be a different system
@Zttbm Yes, but in America, I work for myself and those I CHOOSE to help. I will NOT provide for those who are unwilling to HELP themselves. As far as I am concerned DEADBEATS can go DIE in the streets! So you can take your liberal UK views and go pound sand. Capitalism works, its just people are too lazy to compete. There is money to be made in any economic environment, some just would rather live off the government!
Hmm one flaw in the logic: there would be no bailout if this was true capitalism. In true capitalism, poorly-managed banks wouldn't last too long and would be replaced by banks that can do a decent job. But, I'm sure if the new banks became wealthy due to their ability to provide what we want they would be deemed "greedy." It's so obvious that capitalism has failed us and that greed is a vice. Good thing we're all motivated by helping one another rather than putting bread on our tables.
Some years ago this fat liar pig called South Korea a fascist regime. The country of LG, Samsung, Hyundai, Kia.. Of course he prefers the caribbean North Korea: Cuba.
hehe, a first generation millionaire who hates capitalism.....if anybody buys into this they are absolute idiots.
Btw, bailouts are common in SOCIALISTIC economies, Moore is trying to convince people that a socialistic action is "true capitalism"....not bad for a man who dropped out of junior college.
@davewerty Excus mi I forgot how to spel I wrod. I guess this must meen that I am A totall dum ass and I have no ida about what I'm talkin about. I gues u must no everythine abut me becuse of 1 litle speling mistake. That,s wat I hate about ytube is you say 1 litle tihng and ppl just jump on you and seem to no everything about you. It's ridiculous don't you think?
I love how he blames capitalism for the bailouts when it was government oversight that caused them in the first place. In a true capitalistic society we would have let the banks and companies that were unstable fail, declare bankruptcy, and reorganize
@drabeblaine Not in Canada, our economy is pretty stable compared to other first world countries during this recession. And were considered to have great multiculturalism values.
@MrCoolpwnedU the US population has grown by 60 million units between 1990 and 2010: almost twice the population of Canada. I mean, some comparisons are ridiculous. If you want universal health care and education, better infrastructures and a more protective Welfare state, let´s do a couple of things: 1) Slash defense spending back to 2.5 or 3% of GDP 2) Have a realistic immigration policy instead of birthright citizenship.
@onewhopwns anybody who thinks that whoever talks shit about capitalism is a communist is simply a fuckin retard, and should be banned from planet earth
shit (communism) ISNT a solution to bigger shit (capitalism)
The greatest achievements from civilization have not come from government bureaus, Einstein did not construct his theory under order from a bureaucrat, Henry Ford did not revolutionize the automobile industry that way.
In the only cases in which the poor escaped poverty in recorded history, is where they had capitalism and free trade. If you want to know where the societies are worse off, are the kinds of societies that depart from capitalism. There is no alternative way so far discovered, to improving the people, to the productive activities from capitalism.
@jenn1ifer yeah but that most likely because the majority of the worlds markets fall under capitalism. if the majority were communist i think we would see a different result
@jenn1ifer under pressure from Chicago boys ideology and promises of a free market that would lift union workers out of poverty but instead made them worse than they had ever been ?
He continued work on a book which was eventually published in '49, called 'Human Action', now considered one of the great libertarian works of our times. Von Mises anti-authoritarian ideas were first a threat to the Nazis, then the Soviets, and to all increasingly regulatory governments in our own times. He was against socialism in all its many forms. He was an advocate of individual liberty, free speech, and free thinking
...Ludwig Von Mises escaped to the United States when the Nazis ransacked his apartment in 1938. It was his landlady, a friend of his mother's, who told the authorities Von Mises was working on a new book which challenged Nazi social and economic policies. They slowed him down, but they couldn't stop him.
The sad thing is real communism as was spoken by Marx has never existed - as it didn't involve parasites leaching away power from the top, nor over dominating armies and riot control police. But seriously you don't have to choose between uncontrolled capitalism and full blown communism.
If only America still existed as a republic democracy with freedoms. What would you expect when a budget becomes 50% military and there is 7 corporate lobbyist for every politician in office.
what is needed is a change in our plain of consciousness, the real crisis is a crisis of values and education, they wanted us to be stupid to control us as zombies, installing their crazy greed and profit system to take all our money based on outrageous interests, health care denying, brainwash education and the exalting of war and violence as patriotic acts; the crisis in our country is a value crisis: family values, educational values, civic values, human values... a change is needed ASAP!
Socialism is a great inbetween communism and capitalism :D sounds great to me. We rule, not the state and not the corporations. We govern the economy, we regulate the government who regulates the economy. We can make a living, but help is there if you need it. Though i am a marxist, i believe that this is best. Though marx did propose a "dictatortship of the proletariot", thi is is democracy right? Marx was right all along.
@mrsbigboy Socialism is not a middle ground between Capitalism and communism. Communism is a form of Socialism. What commies do with guns, torture and central comities, socialists do with taxes regulation and central comities.
No ideology is perfect... We must take good points from all and then try to build a level playing field for all the businesses...
If communism was great USSR would still exist... If capitalism was great we wouldn't have have the worst crisis since 1920s...
The big industries should be owned by the government; like Oil, Energy, Roadways, Airways, Railways & Banks... The small industries that will support the big companies should be privately owned...
@bhavdeep Great comment. I agree. None of the systems we have tried thus far have been 'the solution'. Under Communisum, we may 'all be equal' but in no country has it every WORKED that way. In no country has communism ever been the harmonious state of living it promises. It too has been corrupted by greed, inequality and loss of freedom.
Capitalism isn't the solution either. Communism - the Governments own us, Capitalism the Corporations own us.
The top 1% have all the wealth and the power and they aren't going to let it go. Some of them deserve to be beheaded, as was Marie Antionette. She lived lavishly while French peasants starved in the streets. "Let them eat cake" indeed.
@kimberlymarie21990 bah... The people let it happen. I doubt the fat americans will stand up and behead their leaders. Maybe they can declare an emperor like the french did. Would be interesting and a story to tell the grand children.
michael moore is like the exact doppelganger, or opposite twin of rush limbaugh. only moore makes intriguing movies, and doesn't just smoke cigars and talk all slimy and self righteous on a radio show all day
Capital is the means of production. All countries are producing something therefore; they are all capitalist, where the difference is the ownership and control of the capital. In a Free Republic the capital is owned and controlled privately. In communism the state owns and controls the capital. All other governmental systems have a mixture of private and state ownership and control. Which Capital “Love Story” is Michael Moore infatuated with?
@Mike10four Capitalism and socialism are economic systems. Dictatorships, Oligarchies, and Republics are forms of government. Communism isn't defined as to what kind of government runs it. Just because a government is a Republic, doesn't mean that the capital is owned privately. It simply means that the people have a vote as to how things are done as opposed to an individual deciding. A communist Republic can exist just as a capitalistic Republic can. America is an Oligarchic capitalism.
@XanyaV The US is a soft Tyranny, an Oligarchy under Progressivism following some “living constitution,” a constitution with no limits. US economy is no longer Free Market for the Progressives are moving towards the 10 planks of Marx. Your children are indoctrinated by government controlled school systems. A concerned parent should teach them virtue and morality which has its foundation in faith, and less emphasis in sharing which has its foundation in Socialism. Sharing is not charity!
@Mike10four I do not share your Anarchist views. Without laws and regulation, the avarage man becomes enslaved and oppressed by selfish monopolistic greed. Without a government controlled school system, only those who could pay would go to school. All children living in poverty would not be educated. In a system where profit comes before people, basic human rights are neglected! We need a well regulated mixed economic system and a true Republic to govern it. We are far from that.
@XanyaV I’m not an Anarchist! My alignment is with Americanism Constitutional Conservatism and for economics I follow Adam Smith Free Market principles. As for schools, during our founding education was locally managed, today it is centrally controlled by Washington DC (similar to Plank 10 of the Communist Manifesto). Today we no longer follow our Constitution. Most don’t realize the destructive “living constitutional” course we are on, resulting in most of the problems we now face.
@Mike10four (part 1) The simple fact that our constitution can change is not the problem. Changes are necessary as a society changes, we are a far cry from thirteen small colonies. If schools today were locally managed as they once were, the richer communities would have access to better education rather than equal education for all Americans. Privatization corrupts as profit becomes more important than people's welfare. As this is the case, a totally free market breeds corruption and greed.
@Mike10four (part 2) A true patriot of this country needs only to hold steady to the ideology that our founding fathers whished for us: unity, justice for all, domestic tranquility, common defense, and the general welfare of all of us and our children. This is the base of our constitution and it is beloved. Our constitution must change in order to best reflect these base values. Our form of economy must change when it no longer functions to support the welfare or the justice of ALL Americans.
@XanyaV Our Constitution can only change via the amendment process otherwise it is a problem, today, we have a problem. As for corruption and greed, humans are imperfect. Humans are both in the free market and in governments. The free market corrects for imperfections through bankruptcies. Imperfections in government can be devastating. Throughout history there was more human destruction and death from governments than from the free market. The free market creates wealth, governments do not.
@Mike10four A market system is a good thing, it allows for individuality and economic growth. A "free" market system is not so good. This is because the rich at the top control the government. Thus, they make changes which help out the rich rather than making the economy more equal. I also don't believe all things should be privatly owned; resources and technologies for power and water for example, these should be owned by the people and distributed non-profit.
@XanyaV A Free Market has no government intervention therefore; the so called “rich at the top control the government” has no effect over a Free Market. Today the government regulates the market rather than allow self-regulation by market forces. The power greed in government is in control. Most companies are publicly own by the people via stock. It is sad how our government controlled school system is dummying down our population in the workings of government and economics.
@Mike10four You may want to look up the word anarchy, for the "free market" that you revere is an anarchy. Having no regulation leads to monopolies, price gouging, and the hoarding of resources...among other unethical dealings. Like I said before, schools must be run as a collective; if it is privatized, many Americans would not be able to attend. In a free market, making a profit comes before the welfare of the people. A free market is anarchy and unconstitutional!
@Mike10four ...and as for the public owning companies through stock, what dummied down public school did you attend?? First off, people that live paycheck to paycheck rarely own stock unless they are lucky enough to have a retirement account. Secondly, even when people own stock they have no say as to how a company is operated; they do not determine pricing or workers wages. I suppose you are against unions too, as you seem to go against everything that is good for the general welfare of all.
@XanyaV A Free Market is “unconstitutional,” where is that stated in the US Constitution? It is hard to cover any subject in depth with 500 character sound bytes. If you don’t mind, I would like to carry on this dialog via youtube messaging where we have more space to exchange ideas. I will respond there shortly.
@sedro32 To follow our Constitution is to read it. Our Gov schools are deficient in our Founding; the foundation to Liberty and Free Markets, the prerequisite to make this world a better place to live. I too was like Mr. Moore until I studied our founding, understanding the Constitution's prime objective is to protect the Rights of: "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness" which is part of the Laws of Nature, transcending any manmade rights. Moore does not realize his issue is with virtue.
You couldn't hold a gun to my head and make me watch this crap.
So what did this guy do with all the boat loads of cash that he got from this film, where he was able to collect a bank roll through capitallistic means? Did he give all that money away in socialist efforts and keep a dollar himself? Doubt it!
@XanyaV Equality is tyranny! We are unique, living in a relativistic universe where equality is an abstract concept. From the Heisenberg principle to galaxies no two items are equal. To reconcile human differences education in: virtue, Rights of "Life Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness," free market in a republic is vital to any Civil Society. Many ideologies failed in equality, the obsession becomes a burden or downfall. How do you measure equality? One’s equality is another one’s tyranny.
@Mike10four Tyranny is a word of propaganda used to scare people into not thinking for themselves! Human differences are fine; 5% of the population hoarding 80% of the country's wealth is barbaric. We live like animals when there is no regulation over our economy, every man becomes out for himself. Personally, I find this behavior disgusting. Why do we lose the values we teach our children in preschool, to share and be kind to one another? What values do you teach your children I wonder?
This dumbass is using State supported capitalism (a warped form of socialism) to defame the entire institution. Maybe if he actually studied economic systems he would realize that capitalism with as little regulation as needed is the only one that allows for progress.
@Rensune Capitalism allows for progress AND the concentration of wealth. How can we decrease the latter while allowing the former to flourish? It is possible.
@XanyaV Poverty is relative. In every society, it has existed. The goal is to reduce the squalor of it, not eliminate it (which is impossible). This can only be done with a strong economic system, and the only one that does not devalue currency is Capitalism. (As the lessons of every Communist and Socialist nation has taught us, including our own). The only regulations that should exist are those regarding safety, and most of those are already covered.
@Rensune I disagree, we need a mixed economic system that better regulates net worth. It isn't ethically or morally right for one individual to hoard millions of dollars. Ramble on about freedom all you want, but this is the basic truth. You speak of regulation in terms of safety, current regulations allow for the top 5% to own more than the bottom 80% of society put together, while many go hungry. Ours is not a society that is in the slightest bit efficient!
@XanyaV Regulating net worth has not been, nor should ever be, the province of government. If people cannot take care of themselves (Such as invalids) and they have no one to take care of them, then it should be up to those in power whether or not to set aside taxes for those individuals. But I see what most try to do with their capital. They spend it on personal pleasures and expenses before even thinking of investment. I want to raise the financial consciousness of the nation so the floor
@Rensune Ethically, people should regulate their own net worth and give their excess back to society. However, human beings are naturally greedy and don’t care about their fellow man. That is why it would have to be left up to government. I think that people should be mandated to invest their excess net wealth into humanitarian causes of their choosing, not necessarily taken in the form of taxes. Though I do believe rich should pay more taxes than lower and middle classes.
@XanyaV Modernized humans are very greedy, but humanity on the whole is not: in our society even 50 years ago, as well as many places still in the world today, people don't even have the drive left to be greedy. That is normally what occurs when a persons natural needs have been taken care of. When they do not have to eke out a place for themselves, when they can rely on someone else (whether gov or rich family) to bail them out, they address their wants in place of their needs.
Should a 400 lb man advise us on the evils of over-consumption?
Should the resident of a million-dollar apartment claim to be a poster boy of the working class?
Should a person who thought that Enron was a great investment, that Ralph Nader, Wesley Clark and John Kerry would win, and that North Korea's Kim Jong was changing for the better, advise us on ANYTHING?
Crony capitalism is sham capitalism. Fortunately, we still have some opportunities here to particiapate in the real thing, but as we move towards socialism we encourage a less productive form of greed. Socialism encourages political greed and creates an environment where energies are focused on political connections for advancement rather than productive endeavors.
Mr! Michael Moore is a visionary. I slute him. He should be called Sir! Michael Moore. I think it is about the time when we the Americans should take our heads out of our butts and start useing them. All he is trying to say is think stupid think and we realy need to start thinking about this shameful system with which we are governed upon. This chief justice as allowed corporations now so they could donate as much to there pupits as they want. Think about it America???? Where we are going?
This parallel tax system hit middle class Americans the hardest by reducing their deductions and effectively raising their taxes.
Meanwhile, the highest income earners (with incomes exceeding $1,000,000) were proportionately less affected, thereby shifting the tax burden away from the richest 0.5% to poorer Americans.[40]
I really love hearing about the crime and racism in the USA. Foreclosures and families on the street, while liars and criminals get rich and corrupt politicians get away with everything 'cos they can afford good lawyers on the money they stole. Hahahahahahahahahahaha.
Can't wait for the expected Double-dip. Maybe more suicides will happen, lol :)
PS if you don't like it, don't support it with your taxes.
Did you know??? Those select individuals from AIG, Goldman, Lehman Bros, Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac who were deemed "responsible" for the start of the decline in the. US market are ALL now working directly for Obama's admin, and have ALL been PERSONALLY approved by Obama?
A lot of people call Michael Moore a communist, but actually in this point he is supporting the capitalistic view. Government shoul not be too involved in bussines. That includes overtaxing and regulation of course, but also includes helping and paying for this companies. If they are not good enough to exist in the market they should dissapear like many other companies have. and the strongest one survives because is better developed for bussines leading to evolution and modernization.
WE ALMOST WENT TO WAR WITH RUSSIA BY THE END OF BUSH'S TERM. THEY KNEW WHAT THESE PEOPLE ARE DOING. THEY WANTED TO LIBERATE US. THEY CALL AMERICA GREEDY MONSTERS THAT SEEK GLOBAL DOMINATION. GOOD THING OBAMA WAS ELECTED, THEY LAY DOWN THEIR ATTACK WHEN THEY HERD OF CHANGE. AND THE WORST PART, NO ONE KNOWS WE WERE ABOUT TO BE INVADED.
@MetalDetroit well, that's what i mean when i type no body knows about it. you know pal, life goes on, and you won't live forever. dont you have anything better to do than place petty insults on a website? reply if you will, life to good to give a damn to respond. now, i got indie novels to write...
i thought it was the capitalists who were against the bail out because they believed in zero government intervention? moore is missing the point here, the bail out was to help everyone here, the super rich were not going to be badly affected anyway!
The evolution of recent human history has been dominated by minority control over the majority, the rulers have come up with nessesary illusion for compliance and servitude of the many, Science and technology has created a world of plenty, but the market mechanism is about artificial scarcity to perpetuate poverty and exploitation in a modality of war, enviornmental destructions, animal cruelty and so on . The new paradigm is sharing the Earth for our collective needs and wellbeing
First of all no one wanted this crap = bailouts it was the Gov. who did that. I am so pissed off that he is talking about CAPITALISM when he does not even know what the hell is Economics. CAPITALISM did not get us here its the greed of people even though it was the spark of it, but what can i say this guy will say "OOO its all because of CAPITALISM!!". Look at it logically Everyone not like a blooter ok. So take care everyone. AND NO I AM NOT A CONSERVATIVE!!
He's not saying that capitalism destroyed America, he says that the greed of the people destroyed America and capitalism allows them to do that. Without capitalism, there is no greed by the people. That's why we need a new system of running America. The greed factor of capitalism is a fatal flaw and that is what he is talking about.
@patsrule213 i totally agre...not only in america...all over the world....personally i am a communist from greece and i have to say that communism and socialism have received the biggest negative propagnda...mainly in us...we all see what capitalism did to our world...so why don't we change our way of thinking?
@CalinFR no they don't...this is what the media want you to believe...theoritically in commounism and anarchism there is no money because people's needs are covered...these systems are based on more mature in thinking people and try to erase greed from us...with such materialists as we are it's to difficult...that's why people are afraid of these systems..
@thaneir maybe we all expect sudden changes, changes that if put forward will occur only through passing of many generations. i do not think that soc. ideas are bad, but the way we are brought up, teaches us that they are bad. my personal opinion is that money is root to most of the world's problems. this phenomenon that is developing for thousands and thousands of years has such a momentum I think only crashes, crisis, wars and suffering can really affect ppl in such way that a change can occur
@MetalDetroit what communist government in greece? are you kidding me? the government here belongs to right wing...and is doing shit...but is a right wing government...the communist party of greece is third with about 12%...we got plenty of communistic parties here...here is just like every rigkt wing government in the world such as USA France UK etc....SHIT!! for the rich people all are just fine..for the others though? who told you that here the government is comministic? for God sake!!!!!!
@MetalDetroit Greece is Capitalist you fucking moron. And Communism is not a govenrment. the government is democracy, the economic system is Communism.
@Mauser9513 Meanwhile - our debt percentage of GDP is almost 90 % roughly the same debt ratio of Greece and we are heading toward bankruptcy.
If Democrats truly cared about the common man, they would lower taxes on the rich, and corporations so that the free market can start creating jobs again. - THAT is what America needs.
@MetalDetroit You have said nothing that supports the argument that Greece is Communist. "If Democrats cared about the common man, they would lower taxes on the rich", the common man is by no means "rich". America is often espoused with the richest of all countries, which, to a degree is correct, but 5% of the population owns 71% of the wealth. On average, American people are not extremely rich. Even if taxes are lowered, for millions jobs will still be denied in the name of supply/demand,
@MetalDetroit Read my other post too. The capitalist class has a fear of over-producing, hencer lowering commodity value, therefore they will hinder access to many jobs to prevent overproduction. Why even today on average capitalists use only 70% of their productive capacity. Lowered taxes will also not stop periodic economic crisis'.
@MetalDetroit YOU FUCKING IDIOT, the trickle down theory fails, and unless your rich which you probably arnt, you shouldnt be supporting that. Everyone knows what rich people do when they get money, they spend it on private jets and cars, not fucking give tto the poor or the middle class and make jobs. Lowered taxes is not the answer at all, the debt is only going away unless it is payed for, and those companies arnt going to bail out America because their patriotic, THER FUKING GREEDY.
@TheJafrikan First off - by spending thier money on to quote you " private jets, and cars) they are CREATING JOBS - someone had to make the plane and car - some mechanic is taking care of the plane. some company is shipping parts - some company doing maintenance. All this creates increased economic activity which creates JOBS and brings in tax revenue to your precious federal government.
@TheJafrikan First off - calling someone a fucking idiot makes your own argument less compelling - not more.
This Country has spent more than a TRILLION dollars fighting poverty in this country since the New Deal. The only one who has gained from this is Government Bureaucracy.
@TheJafrikan As for the wealthy - The Democrats all insist that we need to pay more in taxes - easy for them to do - they are tax cheats !
The Obama Administration is full of Democrat Tax Evaders - look it up!!!
The head of the IRS Geitner is a TAX EVADER !!! John Kerry is a tax evader as well. Charlie Rangel, John Edwards. Kennedy was too. Best look again at who you call greedy.
@MetalDetroit So are Republicans, and all presidents. I am not defending these people and I hate them as well as the IRS. They steal our money and help themselves. But that doesnt justify the Trickle down theory, and has no relevence to it WHAT SO ever. If the trickle down theory did work, then I would have to accpt it but looking at History, it tells me not so. In Reagans best year, unemployment was averaged at about 5.5%, in clintons who raised taxes was 4.2%. His tax cuts did not help.
@TheJafrikan The economy was in shambles after carter when Reagan took over.
Clinton got a bad economy, but no where near as bad as what reagan inherited. What is the purpose of taxes ? to raise revenue for government or to make things "fair" By cutting the top tax rate from 76% to 36% under Reagan the revenue to the Federal Gov. SKYROCKETED - why ? increased economic activity ! people spent money, which created jobs, and new tax revenue it is the same that Kennedy did and it worked then 2
@MetalDetroit Right... thats why the national debt skyrocketed... And i didnt say anything about Keynesian economics, stay on topic instead of assuming things and who said anythign about the Soveiet union?!?!? which didnt have a Keynesian economic system... they had Communism.
Reagan had Military Keynesian economics, and it caused us into a debt that we may never get out of. Speaking in short brief sentences because I havent slept in 3 days.
@TheJafrikan Revenue to the Federal Government skyrocketed under reagan due to tax cuts and a lowered interest rate. Defecits went up because Congress spent every penny and more of increased revenue. Revenue and defecits are two different things. Think of what Kennedy said when he lowered taxes. "A rising tide raises all boats" - unfortunately it was given the name "trickle down economics" when Reagan was in office - but it is the same thing.
@MetalDetroit regarding Regan: Another recent critique of Reagan's policies stem from Tax Reform Act of 1986 and its impact on the Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT).
The tax reform would ostensibly reduce or eliminate tax deductions. This legislation expanded the AMT from a law for untaxed rich investors to one refocused on middle class Americans who had children, owned a home, or lived in high tax states.
@TheJafrikan Revenue to the federal government had a huge increase as well when Kennedy cut taxes due to increased economic activity. if Keynsian economics worked....massive federal spending to run the economy - then the former soviet Union would still be around - but they spent themselves to death. Tax and spend economics doesn't work.
@thaneir Communism isnt the answer either. Both capitalism and communism restrict us from either freedom or deny God. People dont have incentive to work in communism. People love to say communal cities fail. But never have communal christians failed. Without God nothing will last.
@superdubman999 i believe in God and you are mistaken here...only in USSR God and communism were apart...as a theory communism doesn't say anything about not believing..people DO have incentive to work because they can survive much easier rather than i capitalism..in capitalism has no incentive cause is't fear tha make people work..fear for survival..it's like blackmail someone!!! anyway...
@thaneir Cause it is better that everyone stand in line to get their meat and bread and coffee rations, all for free and spread out to everyone, as opposed to working you arse off and being able to buy as much food as you want, desire, and are able to...and givng some of that same money, to the poor, of your own free will.
@john146only oooooooooh give some of your money to the poor...yeah and the problem is solved!!!! ask the 3.5 billion people who live with less than 2$ per day...ask them if they prefer to get free food and work for the whole society rather than starving to death and working 18 hours per day for you to buy as much food as you want and have plasma tv and 2 cars...yeah we are such tools...for god sake...
@superdubman999 Here comes the "Third Way". By the way, God wants us to give out of our means, love and desire, not out of compulsion. Let's keep that in mind.

Socialism is a great inbetween communism and capitalism :D sounds great to me. We rule, not the state and not the corporations. We govern the economy, we regulate the government who regulates the economy. We can make a living, but help is there if you need it. Though i am a marxist, i believe that this is best.

Mike10four 1 year ago
@Mike10four Capitalism and socialism are economic systems. Dictatorships, Oligarchies, and Republics are forms of government. Communism isn't defined as to what kind of government runs it. Just because a government is a Republic, doesn't mean that the capital is owned privately. It simply means that the people have a vote as to how things are done as opposed to an individual deciding. A communist Republic can exist just as a capitalistic Republic can. America is an Oligarchic capitalism.
XanyaV 1 year ago
@XanyaV The US is a soft Tyranny, an Oligarchy under Progressivism following some “living constitution,” a constitution with no limits. US economy is no longer Free Market for the Progressives are moving towards the 10 planks of Marx. Your children are indoctrinated by government controlled school systems. A concerned parent should teach them virtue and morality which has its foundation in faith, and less emphasis in sharing which has its foundation in Socialism. Sharing is not charity!
Mike10four 1 year ago
@Mike10four I do not share your Anarchist views. Without laws and regulation, the avarage man becomes enslaved and oppressed by selfish monopolistic greed. Without a government controlled school system, only those who could pay would go to school. All children living in poverty would not be educated. In a system where profit comes before people, basic human rights are neglected! We need a well regulated mixed economic system and a true Republic to govern it. We are far from that.
XanyaV 1 year ago
@XanyaV I’m not an Anarchist! My alignment is with Americanism Constitutional Conservatism and for economics I follow Adam Smith Free Market principles. As for schools, during our founding education was locally managed, today it is centrally controlled by Washington DC (similar to Plank 10 of the Communist Manifesto). Today we no longer follow our Constitution. Most don’t realize the destructive “living constitutional” course we are on, resulting in most of the problems we now face.
Mike10four 1 year ago
@Mike10four (part 1) The simple fact that our constitution can change is not the problem. Changes are necessary as a society changes, we are a far cry from thirteen small colonies. If schools today were locally managed as they once were, the richer communities would have access to better education rather than equal education for all Americans. Privatization corrupts as profit becomes more important than people's welfare. As this is the case, a totally free market breeds corruption and greed.
XanyaV 1 year ago
@XanyaV I didnt mean to vote down, i agree totally.
mrsbigboy 1 year ago
@Mike10four (part 2) A true patriot of this country needs only to hold steady to the ideology that our founding fathers whished for us: unity, justice for all, domestic tranquility, common defense, and the general welfare of all of us and our children. This is the base of our constitution and it is beloved. Our constitution must change in order to best reflect these base values. Our form of economy must change when it no longer functions to support the welfare or the justice of ALL Americans.
XanyaV 1 year ago
@XanyaV Our Constitution can only change via the amendment process otherwise it is a problem, today, we have a problem. As for corruption and greed, humans are imperfect. Humans are both in the free market and in governments. The free market corrects for imperfections through bankruptcies. Imperfections in government can be devastating. Throughout history there was more human destruction and death from governments than from the free market. The free market creates wealth, governments do not.
Mike10four 1 year ago
@Mike10four A market system is a good thing, it allows for individuality and economic growth. A "free" market system is not so good. This is because the rich at the top control the government. Thus, they make changes which help out the rich rather than making the economy more equal. I also don't believe all things should be privatly owned; resources and technologies for power and water for example, these should be owned by the people and distributed non-profit.
XanyaV 1 year ago
@XanyaV A Free Market has no government intervention therefore; the so called “rich at the top control the government” has no effect over a Free Market. Today the government regulates the market rather than allow self-regulation by market forces. The power greed in government is in control. Most companies are publicly own by the people via stock. It is sad how our government controlled school system is dummying down our population in the workings of government and economics.
Mike10four 1 year ago
@Mike10four You may want to look up the word anarchy, for the "free market" that you revere is an anarchy. Having no regulation leads to monopolies, price gouging, and the hoarding of resources...among other unethical dealings. Like I said before, schools must be run as a collective; if it is privatized, many Americans would not be able to attend. In a free market, making a profit comes before the welfare of the people. A free market is anarchy and unconstitutional!
XanyaV 1 year ago
@Mike10four ...and as for the public owning companies through stock, what dummied down public school did you attend?? First off, people that live paycheck to paycheck rarely own stock unless they are lucky enough to have a retirement account. Secondly, even when people own stock they have no say as to how a company is operated; they do not determine pricing or workers wages. I suppose you are against unions too, as you seem to go against everything that is good for the general welfare of all.
XanyaV 1 year ago
@XanyaV A Free Market is “unconstitutional,” where is that stated in the US Constitution? It is hard to cover any subject in depth with 500 character sound bytes. If you don’t mind, I would like to carry on this dialog via youtube messaging where we have more space to exchange ideas. I will respond there shortly.
Mike10four 1 year ago
@Mike10four agreed. if our constitution is followed CORRECTLY, then this country would have and would work.
sedro32 1 year ago
@sedro32 To follow our Constitution is to read it. Our Gov schools are deficient in our Founding; the foundation to Liberty and Free Markets, the prerequisite to make this world a better place to live. I too was like Mr. Moore until I studied our founding, understanding the Constitution's prime objective is to protect the Rights of: "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness" which is part of the Laws of Nature, transcending any manmade rights. Moore does not realize his issue is with virtue.

XanyaV 1 year ago
@XanyaV Equality is tyranny! We are unique, living in a relativistic universe where equality is an abstract concept. From the Heisenberg principle to galaxies no two items are equal. To reconcile human differences education in: virtue, Rights of "Life Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness," free market in a republic is vital to any Civil Society. Many ideologies failed in equality, the obsession becomes a burden or downfall. How do you measure equality? One’s equality is another one’s tyranny.
Mike10four 1 year ago
@Mike10four Tyranny is a word of propaganda used to scare people into not thinking for themselves! Human differences are fine; 5% of the population hoarding 80% of the country's wealth is barbaric. We live like animals when there is no regulation over our economy, every man becomes out for himself. Personally, I find this behavior disgusting. Why do we lose the values we teach our children in preschool, to share and be kind to one another? What values do you teach your children I wonder?
XanyaV 1 year ago
This dumbass is using State supported capitalism (a warped form of socialism) to defame the entire institution. Maybe if he actually studied economic systems he would realize that capitalism with as little regulation as needed is the only one that allows for progress.
Rensune 1 year ago
@Rensune Capitalism allows for progress AND the concentration of wealth. How can we decrease the latter while allowing the former to flourish? It is possible.
Someideasandstuff 1 year ago
@Rensune Define progress! 43.6 million Americans live in poverty. Yay for progress!!!!
XanyaV 1 year ago
@XanyaV Poverty is relative. In every society, it has existed. The goal is to reduce the squalor of it, not eliminate it (which is impossible). This can only be done with a strong economic system, and the only one that does not devalue currency is Capitalism. (As the lessons of every Communist and Socialist nation has taught us, including our own). The only regulations that should exist are those regarding safety, and most of those are already covered.
Rensune 1 year ago
@Rensune I disagree, we need a mixed economic system that better regulates net worth. It isn't ethically or morally right for one individual to hoard millions of dollars. Ramble on about freedom all you want, but this is the basic truth. You speak of regulation in terms of safety, current regulations allow for the top 5% to own more than the bottom 80% of society put together, while many go hungry. Ours is not a society that is in the slightest bit efficient!
XanyaV 1 year ago
@XanyaV Regulating net worth has not been, nor should ever be, the province of government. If people cannot take care of themselves (Such as invalids) and they have no one to take care of them, then it should be up to those in power whether or not to set aside taxes for those individuals. But I see what most try to do with their capital. They spend it on personal pleasures and expenses before even thinking of investment. I want to raise the financial consciousness of the nation so the floor
Rensune 1 year ago
@Rensune can rise, and not continue trying to tear down the ceiling
Rensune 1 year ago
@Rensune Ethically, people should regulate their own net worth and give their excess back to society. However, human beings are naturally greedy and don’t care about their fellow man. That is why it would have to be left up to government. I think that people should be mandated to invest their excess net wealth into humanitarian causes of their choosing, not necessarily taken in the form of taxes. Though I do believe rich should pay more taxes than lower and middle classes.
XanyaV 1 year ago
@XanyaV Modernized humans are very greedy, but humanity on the whole is not: in our society even 50 years ago, as well as many places still in the world today, people don't even have the drive left to be greedy. That is normally what occurs when a persons natural needs have been taken care of. When they do not have to eke out a place for themselves, when they can rely on someone else (whether gov or rich family) to bail them out, they address their wants in place of their needs.

AND THE WORST PART, NO ONE KNOWS WE WERE ABOUT TO BE INVADED.

i thought it was the capitalists who were against the bail out because they believed in zero government intervention? moore is missing the point here, the bail out was to help everyone here, the super rich were not going to be badly affected anyway!

AND NO I AM NOT A CONSERVATIVE!!
charlesdean03 1 year ago
@charlesdean03
He's not saying that capitalism destroyed America, he says that the greed of the people destroyed America and capitalism allows them to do that. Without capitalism, there is no greed by the people. That's why we need a new system of running America. The greed factor of capitalism is a fatal flaw and that is what he is talking about.
patsrule213 1 year ago 14
@patsrule213 i totally agre...not only in america...all over the world....personally i am a communist from greece and i have to say that communism and socialism have received the biggest negative propagnda...mainly in us...we all see what capitalism did to our world...so why don't we change our way of thinking?
thaneir 1 year ago 11
@thaneir comunism, socialism involves more forced flag waving, less liberties and so on. All systems are the same, because they all run on money.
CalinFR 1 year ago
@CalinFR no they don't...this is what the media want you to believe...theoritically in commounism and anarchism there is no money because people's needs are covered...these systems are based on more mature in thinking people and try to erase greed from us...with such materialists as we are it's to difficult...that's why people are afraid of these systems..
thaneir 1 year ago
@thaneir maybe we all expect sudden changes, changes that if put forward will occur only through passing of many generations. i do not think that soc. ideas are bad, but the way we are brought up, teaches us that they are bad. my personal opinion is that money is root to most of the world's problems. this phenomenon that is developing for thousands and thousands of years has such a momentum I think only crashes, crisis, wars and suffering can really affect ppl in such way that a change can occur

@thaneir how is the Communist government in Greece doing - oh yeah - not very good is it.
MetalDetroit 1 year ago
@MetalDetroit what communist government in greece? are you kidding me? the government here belongs to right wing...and is doing shit...but is a right wing government...the communist party of greece is third with about 12%...we got plenty of communistic parties here...here is just like every rigkt wing government in the world such as USA France UK etc....SHIT!! for the rich people all are just fine..for the others though? who told you that here the government is comministic? for God sake!!!!!!
thaneir 1 year ago
@MetalDetroit Greece is Capitalist you fucking moron. And Communism is not a govenrment. the government is democracy, the economic system is Communism.
Mauser9513 1 year ago
@Mauser9513 Meanwhile - our debt percentage of GDP is almost 90 % roughly the same debt ratio of Greece and we are heading toward bankruptcy.
If Democrats truly cared about the common man, they would lower taxes on the rich, and corporations so that the free market can start creating jobs again. - THAT is what America needs.
MetalDetroit 1 year ago
@MetalDetroit You have said nothing that supports the argument that Greece is Communist. "If Democrats cared about the common man, they would lower taxes on the rich", the common man is by no means "rich". America is often espoused with the richest of all countries, which, to a degree is correct, but 5% of the population owns 71% of the wealth. On average, American people are not extremely rich. Even if taxes are lowered, for millions jobs will still be denied in the name of supply/demand,
Mauser9513 1 year ago
@MetalDetroit Read my other post too. The capitalist class has a fear of over-producing, hencer lowering commodity value, therefore they will hinder access to many jobs to prevent overproduction. Why even today on average capitalists use only 70% of their productive capacity. Lowered taxes will also not stop periodic economic crisis'.
Mauser9513 1 year ago
@MetalDetroit YOU FUCKING IDIOT, the trickle down theory fails, and unless your rich which you probably arnt, you shouldnt be supporting that. Everyone knows what rich people do when they get money, they spend it on private jets and cars, not fucking give tto the poor or the middle class and make jobs. Lowered taxes is not the answer at all, the debt is only going away unless it is payed for, and those companies arnt going to bail out America because their patriotic, THER FUKING GREEDY.
TheJafrikan 1 year ago
@TheJafrikan First off - by spending thier money on to quote you " private jets, and cars) they are CREATING JOBS - someone had to make the plane and car - some mechanic is taking care of the plane. some company is shipping parts - some company doing maintenance. All this creates increased economic activity which creates JOBS and brings in tax revenue to your precious federal government.
MetalDetroit 1 year ago
@MetalDetroit Ya, creating jobs else where, not in America. Regardless, the American government fails.
TheJafrikan 1 year ago
@TheJafrikan First off - calling someone a fucking idiot makes your own argument less compelling - not more.
This Country has spent more than a TRILLION dollars fighting poverty in this country since the New Deal. The only one who has gained from this is Government Bureaucracy.
MetalDetroit 1 year ago
@TheJafrikan As for the wealthy - The Democrats all insist that we need to pay more in taxes - easy for them to do - they are tax cheats !
The Obama Administration is full of Democrat Tax Evaders - look it up!!!
The head of the IRS Geitner is a TAX EVADER !!! John Kerry is a tax evader as well. Charlie Rangel, John Edwards. Kennedy was too. Best look again at who you call greedy.
MetalDetroit 1 year ago
@MetalDetroit So are Republicans, and all presidents. I am not defending these people and I hate them as well as the IRS. They steal our money and help themselves. But that doesnt justify the Trickle down theory, and has no relevence to it WHAT SO ever. If the trickle down theory did work, then I would have to accpt it but looking at History, it tells me not so. In Reagans best year, unemployment was averaged at about 5.5%, in clintons who raised taxes was 4.2%. His tax cuts did not help.
TheJafrikan 1 year ago
@TheJafrikan The economy was in shambles after carter when Reagan took over.
Clinton got a bad economy, but no where near as bad as what reagan inherited. What is the purpose of taxes ? to raise revenue for government or to make things "fair" By cutting the top tax rate from 76% to 36% under Reagan the revenue to the Federal Gov. SKYROCKETED - why ? increased economic activity ! people spent money, which created jobs, and new tax revenue it is the same that Kennedy did and it worked then 2
MetalDetroit 1 year ago
@MetalDetroit Right... thats why the national debt skyrocketed... And i didnt say anything about Keynesian economics, stay on topic instead of assuming things and who said anythign about the Soveiet union?!?!? which didnt have a Keynesian economic system... they had Communism.
Reagan had Military Keynesian economics, and it caused us into a debt that we may never get out of. Speaking in short brief sentences because I havent slept in 3 days.
TheJafrikan 1 year ago
@TheJafrikan Revenue to the Federal Government skyrocketed under reagan due to tax cuts and a lowered interest rate. Defecits went up because Congress spent every penny and more of increased revenue. Revenue and defecits are two different things. Think of what Kennedy said when he lowered taxes. "A rising tide raises all boats" - unfortunately it was given the name "trickle down economics" when Reagan was in office - but it is the same thing.
MetalDetroit 1 year ago
@MetalDetroit regarding Regan: Another recent critique of Reagan's policies stem from Tax Reform Act of 1986 and its impact on the Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT).
The tax reform would ostensibly reduce or eliminate tax deductions. This legislation expanded the AMT from a law for untaxed rich investors to one refocused on middle class Americans who had children, owned a home, or lived in high tax states.
Someideasandstuff 1 year ago
@TheJafrikan Revenue to the federal government had a huge increase as well when Kennedy cut taxes due to increased economic activity. if Keynsian economics worked....massive federal spending to run the economy - then the former soviet Union would still be around - but they spent themselves to death. Tax and spend economics doesn't work.

@Mauser9513 no shit dumbfuck.

@MetalDetroit What the hell is that supposed to mean? You still haven't responded to my posts, dumbfuck. (lol)

@thaneir Communism isnt the answer either. Both capitalism and communism restrict us from either freedom or deny God. People dont have incentive to work in communism. People love to say communal cities fail. But never have communal christians failed. Without God nothing will last.
superdubman999 1 year ago
@superdubman999 i believe in God and you are mistaken here...only in USSR God and communism were apart...as a theory communism doesn't say anything about not believing..people DO have incentive to work because they can survive much easier rather than i capitalism..in capitalism has no incentive cause is't fear tha make people work..fear for survival..it's like blackmail someone!!! anyway...
thaneir 1 year ago
@thaneir Cause it is better that everyone stand in line to get their meat and bread and coffee rations, all for free and spread out to everyone, as opposed to working you arse off and being able to buy as much food as you want, desire, and are able to...and givng some of that same money, to the poor, of your own free will.
You guys in here are such tools!
john146only 1 year ago
@john146only oooooooooh give some of your money to the poor...yeah and the problem is solved!!!! ask the 3.5 billion people who live with less than 2$ per day...ask them if they prefer to get free food and work for the whole society rather than starving to death and working 18 hours per day for you to buy as much food as you want and have plasma tv and 2 cars...yeah we are such tools...for god sake...
thaneir 1 year ago
@superdubman999 Here comes the "Third Way". By the way, God wants us to give out of our means, love and desire, not out of compulsion. Let's keep that in mind.
