There is a easy way.Go to app manager and download webos manager.after install just fiind the game on google.ex:nfs.ipk,asphalt 5.ipk,avatar.ipk free download and enter on the "filecrop".download it and copy/past to mass storage or anywere you want in the phone.run webos manager and install the game.Sorry for the bad english.Have fun

@DarkAnubis88 think of fixes as patches, certain games require an extra step that will allow them to work. Please check the video and see the description as it shows you what you need to do.

but when i try to run it through the desktop icon it opens up and after i press quick race it just crashes and goes to the main menu. Is there something u can help me with..so im still playing the game by typing all the commands in x-term.

so, after the first fix my game showed some improvement - small intro but as soon as i should press to continue or something its crushes. Now i want to run second fix but do we have to root or sudo gainroot first n what with those $ signs? do we need them too or they'r just... :)
@skoa99 yeah u will have to sudo gainroot again and then do the other fix u have missed, then test the game before creating shortcut. The game does work and everyone here has managed it. Check here to see any other fixes ppl have mentioned that worked for them as u might still have problems an it could turn out to be something u dont have or missed.

@vipulkothari02 It is because you are not in the right folder. Please double check. X-terminal is case sensitive and any mis-typed folders or missed spaces can affect this. Also take a look at description and comments for fixes and further info.

@villyjean1 im not pissed off. The problem you described has been answered many times on here so it is pointless for me to repeat myself when you can check it on here. There is also some helpful info in the description. A lot of ppl have found the guide useful and got the games to work. I do not charge people to help them out, I do these videos simply to help other users. Reason you are getting the error is you are not in the right directory most likely.

hey i found the secret really now.. its not always a metter of a big letter or not..but after the command cd /home/user/com.app.gameloft...
then the next command is better to be: ls (this is small L and small S) and it will showthe files this folder cntains and actually it should be the first file,but i saw that in brothersinarms there was no file named brothersinarms,instead there was : bia_pre
so you should be looking for a file which is around 1 megabyte..and then chmod +rwx plus the file
@villyjean1 if you watched my other video then i clearly mention the capital letter issue. And with each game things will differ as they are named and spelt differently so the method is the same but if you dont check to see where the files are or how they are spelt then issue lies upon the user. Anyhow glad you got it working! have fun.

okay so captainbrite, fabianspeth,villyjean1,paanfls and i all have the same exact problem...the game crashes at 75% loading of any race...solutions anyone ?
@simplysmmn you need to ensure youve done all the fixes mentioned in description and see the comments from others. Once youve done all the fixes correctly the game shouldn't crash.

hey.i have d same prob here as captainbrite said. when its almost done loading,it crashes. but when my first tried (open d game using xterm as in ur tuto) it had no prob at all. after i put d icon in d menu,then it have probs.crash when loading.

Working pretty well though but i cant seem to pass the first stage of Ass Cre cause i need to do a multitouch move. Now i was playing HEROS OF SPARTA this morning and its Multi touch but its pretty ok with one touch at a time so its good!

@7allmine Oh cool... tha Same thing happened about 4 times with me until i cd to tha game folder(cd home/user/webos/Asphalt5/Asphalt5) that the single Asphalt5 game is in. That folder (same Asphalt5) also have the music, sounds and data and other stuff for tha game... the first Asphalt5 folder contains the png icon, the appinfo and the Asphalt5 FOLDER that has the game(Asphalt5)... so after you cd home/user/webos/Asphalt5/Asphalt5 & enter then chmod +rwx Asphalt5 enter then you ./Asphalt5 enter

Hey I followed yourfirst fix in the descriptiong, I got the game to work, but now, my free application memory is saying I have like over 800Megs free and I strongly doubt this lol because before I installed asphalt I had like 299Megs, all my apps say I have over 800Free, I haven't checked if X Term says the same cuz I know that command
Now that I have created Desktop icon it starts well, menues and settings work fine as well, but it crashes everytime I try to start a race. Game just closes right before progres bar reaches end.

@hhmah you got Nova to work...? i been trying to install it and im not sucessful as yet i wonder why.. i got Assassins creed to work... Brothers in arms to work.. heros of Sparty running perfectly but not Nova nor hawx... not sure why

got the game to run i test mode but with the shortcut it crashes. Tried from command and it works but the sound i laggy and video a bit slow. even att 900 mhz.
@Sniperswe1 Did you do the fix? check the vid near the beginning as i had made an error but check to see which folder you did it to, maybe that way we can see if it is that.

@360NextLevel i actually think i typed it right the first time following your prompts..there is another problem to do with permisions on the savegame folder i think..anyway the fix is on here now..worked for me and hteinkmin..keep the vids comin they are the best tutorials on the net:)
@adambrooks1000 hey if you use gpe file manager, type in terminal 1. root 2. gpe-filemanager after this gpe-filemanager will appear and you can delete most of the folder you created. you can get gpe-filemanager from software catalogue. but be sure to delete only the file you know that sure are.. if not .. think everything could go wrong lol..

Hi after loading.. it crashed.. test game was fine.. but after creating shortcut icon and rebooted the nokia.. then run again the asphal5.. it loaded.. but then choosing the car . ready to race.. it crashed.

@hteinkmin Just follow the steps exactly as I done it and you should be good to go. If you use diff folder names etc then you it might not work and that is what you are facing just now. So try it the way i did

hey i have done everything in the vedio and when i start to check the game if its workin or not like u said with the command ./Asphalt5.

hey i found the secret really now.. its not always a metter of a big letter or not..but after the command cd /home/user/com.app.gameloft...
then the next command is better to be: ls (this is small L and small S) and it will showthe files this folder cntains and actually it should be the first file,but i saw that in brothersinarms there was no file named brothersinarms,instead there was : bia_pre
so you should be looking for a file which is around 1 megabyte..and then chmod +rwx plus the file

@villyjean1 if you watched my other video then i clearly mention the capital letter issue. And with each game things will differ as they are named and spelt differently so the method is the same but if you dont check to see where the files are or how they are spelt then issue lies upon the user. Anyhow glad you got it working! have fun.

hey I am trying to install the game brothersinarms or any other and i try it this way like in the video here,but after i make-
chmod +rwx brothersinarms(or no metter which other game) and it is saying - "No such file or directory"
only with N.O.V.A there is no problem when installing it this way.. So tell me whats the problem please and dont tell me that i am making any mistake somewhere,because i am doing it exactly perfectly like on the video..only nfsuc and NOVA are easy to install

@simplysmmn you need to ensure youve done all the fixes mentioned in description and see the comments from others. Once youve done all the fixes correctly the game shouldn't crash.

@fanfolder only way to end is to end task it at moment. Do remember these games were not created for use on the n900. You should try Hawx, its good!

hi and thank you for the video..but i have a problem.. I installed perfectly nfsuc..now i tried Asphalt5 and i do everything exactly as you are doing it here on the vidde and after the command " ./ Asphalt5" the game starts and when i press quickrace to start the racing and the game brakes.. i dont know why... ,I also tried the game fifa and its also not starting..althoug my commands are right i think,because i am doing exactly what is on the video and its not saying any errors..please hlep

hey.i have d same prob here as captainbrite said. when its almost done loading,it crashes. but when my first tried (open d game using xterm as in ur tuto) it had no prob at all. after i put d icon in d menu,then it have probs.crash when loading.

Hey whats up again.. yea its me... i just have to THANK you for your marvelous videos... i installed Assassins Creed and its running perfectly smooth and i did that Using this very same instructions... the SAME EXACT instructions...!!! just wanna thank you alot dude. Oh. i still cant create the Icon for the Brothers In Arms Game i installed using these instructions.. the game works ok though but no icon. desktopgen appinfo.json dont seem o work for that specific game i guess. any suggestions?

What to do is check your paths or provide me with more detail. PM me if still stuck. I still duno why u wana play assassins creed and this game as they both require multi touch so you wont be able to complete them or will get stuck lol

@360NextLevel... lol Yow dude i swear i had no idea that ASSASSINS CREED and BROTHERS IN ARMS were multi touch games. its after i installed them i realised that. Working pretty well though but i cant seem to pass the first stage of Ass Cre cause i need to do a multitouch move. BIA i dont have an desktop icon so i have to repeat all the above instructions to platy tha game. Now i was playing HEROS OF SPARTA this morning and its Multi touch but its pretty ok with one touch at a time so its good!

hey dude i NEED your help... i tried installing Brothers In Arms using this very same method and it installed ok... started playing but with the glitches and all just like when i installed the asphalt5 but when i tried creating the icon using the desktopgen appinfo command its saying not found... i dont know what to do now and i dont even know how to get the game started again... @7allmine Oh cool... tha Same thing happened about 4 times with me until i cd to tha game folder(cd home/user/webos/Asphalt5/Asphalt5) that the single Asphalt5 game is in. That folder (same Asphalt5) also have the music, sounds and data and other stuff for tha game... the first Asphalt5 folder contains the png icon, the appinfo and the Asphalt5 FOLDER that has the game(Asphalt5)... so after you cd home/user/webos/Asphalt5/Asphalt5 & enter then chmod +rwx Asphalt5 enter then you ./Asphalt5 enter

hey .. i need help .. thanx to ur guide i installed asphalt 5 but it crashes when i choose to play different levels apart from LAs Vegas ..
only las vegas works while other level crashes at the point when it says tap on the screen at the beginning of the level .
and even selecting different vehicles apart from lotus and few others crashes the game ...
like with lotus las vegas level wroks brilliantly but when i choose other vehicles for las vegas it crashes ..
please give me a solution ..

Hey I followed yourfirst fix in the descriptiong, I got the game to work, but now, my free application memory is saying I have like over 800Megs free and I strongly doubt this lol because before I installed asphalt I had like 299Megs, all my apps say I have over 800Free, I haven't checked if X Term says the same cuz I know that command

Hi, I have a problem.
Asphalt5 worked fine when testing.
Now that I have created Desktop icon it starts well, menues and settings work fine as well, but it crashes everytime I try to start a race. Game just closes right before progres bar reaches end.
Anyone any ideas?

@360NextLevel Thanx for your time! But I got the same result, the screen goes blank, and when I interrupt the process the only problem I saw was the same msg "failed to initialize libosso"
I follow the steps on the description, i got no error msg during it.

It gave the error permission denied when I typed in the command ./Asphalt5
and the error /home/user/applications/com.gameloft.apps.asphalt5/Asphalt5/Asphalt5 is not executable

@TheConfusedfella folder name should be /home/user/applications/com.gameloft.app.asphalt5/Asphalt5 (there is no S after app)
once you have fixed that, then cd to that folder, type chmod...... then do ./Asphalt5

@360NextLevel @hteinkmin a fix for your problem type exactly into x terminal (credit to zhandro @ maemo.org)... sudo gainroot 1. mkdir -p /media/internal 2. cd /media/ 3. chown -R user:root internal/ 4. chmod -R 755 internal/ 5. mkdir -p /home/user/webos/gamesave 6. cd /home/user/ 7. chown -R user:root webos/ 8. chmod -R 755 webos/ 9. ln -s /home/user/webos/gamesave /media/internal then test to see if it works by running it as instructed in video let me know how it goes:)

got the game to run i test mode but with the shortcut it crashes. Tried from command and it works but the sound i laggy and video a bit slow. even att 900 mhz.

hey man i had exactly the same problem as hteinkmin..in your video on the discription it says gamesave but on the video it shows it typed as savegame so i know thats where it went wrong..i would be very grateful if you could show how to delete all that stuff out of the phone to start again...your videos are usually always spot on and much appreciated but there is a mistake on your video for sure...thanks

@360NextLevel i actually think i typed it right the first time following your prompts..there is another problem to do with permisions on the savegame folder i think..anyway the fix is on here now..worked for me and hteinkmin..keep the vids comin they are the best tutorials on the net:)

@adambrooks1000 hey if you use gpe file manager, type in terminal 1. root 2. gpe-filemanager after this gpe-filemanager will appear and you can delete most of the folder you created. you can get gpe-filemanager from software catalogue. but be sure to delete only the file you know that sure are.. if not .. think everything could go wrong lol..

must it be savegame folder or gamesave folder. or doesnt matter whatever i choose, first i chose gamesave as your caption but on your screeen is savegame.. this time i will try with savegame

@hteinkmin Just follow the steps exactly as I done it and you should be good to go. If you use diff folder names etc then you it might not work and that is what you are facing just now. So try it the way i did
