If I am not mistaken, The Mountaineers were defending National Champions in 1 AA. They could of played the game 10 times and App State would of won 8 of them. App isn't going to play 2/3 FBS teams every year because in FCS if you lose 4 games your pretty much out of it, especially if you slip up against someone in your conference. You have to have a nice resume and you also need wins. App plays ECU saturday. Opens with Florida next year and I believe Georgia or Va Tech the next year.

2 factors went into this game Michigan did not take it that serious and michigan that year wasnt that good. michigan ranking was so overrated going into the game. I have seen top 10 schools not take small games serious but they still put up michigan tho wasnt that good of a team to start out with.

App State comes from former Div I-AA, has a statidum that holds about 14,000 people and was going up against the number #5 team in the country.
This game was an edge of your seat experience from start to finish and you couldn't help but pull for the underdog.

2 factors went into this game Michigan did not take it that serious and michigan that year wasnt that good. michigan ranking was so overrated going into the game. I have seen top 10 schools not take small games serious but they still put up michigan tho wasnt that good of a team to start out with.

great video, I remember this game I was sitting in a bar watching the team from my state play but the whole bar shook with cheers and screaming when that kick was blocked. it was an amazing ending. so happy it happened to michigan. congrats to ASU.
