  • You made the right choice :)

  • live without a job is starting to depress me

sometime i would rather be dead than living in this society don't let your kid quit school for them to go take drugs with loosers don't over feed them and do not give them all they want

  • Hi Ernie, you don't even know how much you have helped me when I lost my job few years ago. I got a hold of your "Life without work" & not only read it - I studied it! It gave me such an emotional boost & many wonderful tips! !! That was 15 years ago. I'm happy to tell you that I've only worked PT jobs since then @ jobs I totally love. My life is awesome! I have a modest& healthy life style & pay no income tax! ha ha! I thank you for that book, all your wonderful vids. I think you're great!

  • i am not one of those people i hear about that 'wants to work'. i hazard to say that many creative people are not. i do not define myself by my position. luckily i have a job where *I* define my position, so it is tolerable in comparison to most work.

i do not want to die a slave.

  • I've been working and earning well since i was 15, and i've never looked back. Sometimes the work slows down, but something always turns up if you look hard enough.

  • you look like you're floating through space

  • Good video...many people are finally wakeing up to this topic.

The book you reccommend " Your Money Or Your Life" was a good book but I feel a better book about this topic is " Un- Jobbing:The Adult Liberation Handbook" by Michael Fogler.

  • Searched this up on google because i was thinking how wasting 1/3 of my life working is the right option i should take. I'm only 19 years old and have worked one full time job which i hated. I'm at university at the moment studying so i can become successful in the future, but it seems so pointless wasting 1/3 of your life working.

Just wondering are you still not working? Are you happy that your not working? Its a really hard decision to not work at all. How has it all turned out?

  • What turned out to work for me was to work part time and keep my expenses low. Then I did not have to work so much and I did not get bored. Totally not working turned out to be boring for me.

  • Very nice,I was starting to think that I am alone in this journey.I quit my job 4 mths ago and have not sent out a single resume since then. These 4 mths have been the most intensive learning experience;I could not even dream of doing this while working. Now,even though I don't have a lot of money,I plan to start the life of a homesteader, completely self-reliant and sustainable living, growing my own food, basically cutting all my ties with this system as much as possible.Good luck in your journey!

  • Hey, i stopped working too for x years. Although i collect unemployment, i don't feel guilty. Why should i slave along when i can piggyback on the slaves and manipulate the system. Yay me:)

  • "It is an illusion to think that more comfort means more happiness. Happiness comes of the capacity to feel deeply, to enjoy simply, to think freely, to risk life, to be needed." --Anonymous

  • I like that citation.

  • :) ... For **more** like this, welcome to my picture/account at Flickr (.) com. I am ''maurice flower** there. See/search first for the picture **Open air temple**

  • You just made me a subscriber!! ;-)

Hans -- in Sweden, who has not been working for 15 years!

  • Thank you very much! I have a lot to learn from you.

  • Yes, maybe so. But these years have not only been good. BUT life is much more interesting now than it was 15 years ago!! I am more "alive", so to speak. Hm, maybe I should do a "straight-into-the-camera-serie" as you have started out with!...

  • Very honest and great series! I will follow this..hope theres more to come :)

I am still struggling finding what really makes me happy in the corporate world...

  • "Pre-existing condition". These three little words can change everything. I wish you luck, and hope you can pull it off.

  • "You really don't have to work". How would you put bread on the table? Where would you live? How would you maintain a family?

  • I have been working on my own for about 4 years and I love it! my girlfriend thinks im nutz and lazy, but i really love to be free and don't have to kiss ass to no body! if i want something i find a way to make money, buy what i want or need and enjoy my free time. is there anything wrong with that? I don't think so.

  • nice mate. i'll be following your progress!

  • I wish you the best luck in the world! =)

  • Thank you and thank you for the subscription :)

  • i feel now you're owner of your path, wise decision and brave one. patience will lead you safe and satisfied. ;)

  • Patience is such a key lesson to learn. In fact I would say that if you have not mastered patience, you will fail at finding freedom.

  • just right. ;)

  • omg I would be so scared! However, I do envy you and your thought concept. Share the secrets so the rest of us can take a similar journey :) best of luck!

  • It is a little scary, but the good part is I have done this a little in the past and I know what to expect.

  • Going into business for yourself?

    Disability?

Everybody's gotta work. How are you going to pay rent?

I own my own business. I only schedule hours for myself 2 days a week, but I am still working all the time in a sense, because I am always thinking of ways to make my business grow.

I guess I'll have to wait and see what you have in mind...

  • Over the next few videos. I will take you through the thought process, and what allowed me to do this.

  • Felt the same when I quit job and started my own company. Wish you best of luck on your new journey.

  • good luck on your journy looking forward to hearing all about it

  • Looking forward to hearing all about it! Good luck to ya on it!

  • If I didn't worry so much about old age and pension, I would do this too.

  • If you start young enough it does not require that much in your IRA account to have a very nice retirement account.
