when a the bogie is shared between coaches like on the eurostar it is known as 'articulated'. this makes it safer becausethe train stays in one piece in a small de-railment.
i was just wondering where is the best place to have the motor car at the front or the back my 1 is a 4 car train 1 motor 1 dummy and 2 snd class coaches aet back to me asap thanks i love your vids you could b a very good model train maker
@iFiiZZLE well depends what type of layout you are having, if its big like ours then you might wan't flexi track and long trains but with a hornby track matt thing you woill be better off with smaller loco's (not saying you should't get a pendo or something i just don't recomend it)
nice train. Have you got any tips of modelling trains because im thinking about starting in the train modeling. where did you get your southwest train class 159
Very good - be interesting to see it running - the single bogie that links the two coaches is called an articulated bogie - I expect you know but in case not the bogie supporting the passenger coach next to the power car is also powered on the Eurostar so three sets of powered bogies (six traction motors) to each end of the train so 12 traction motors in total
lol your budget must be really high if you have all those trains in your set and continue to grow it, good review though, im not the biggest fan of the eurostar, my fav would be a 466 but still gd
where do you get extra carriages from and where do you buy your trains from

The bogie sharing is for stability at high speed, because the bogie can oscalate when it reaches top speeds (186mph).

@mclarenmercedesslr72 i have all my motor cars at the front as you get less derails and crashes, hope this helps :)

My Eurostar has 4 cars for now. But I get the 2 locos powered to improve the traction when I add more cars.
Cheers; )
