I bought this yesterday from cash generator for 99p good price and good shop. I like my playstations I got a ps3 and I can tell you the graphics are way better than ps2 and ps1 games but the games on ps2 and ps1 are way better. I got tomb raider underworld on ps3 better graphics but not better game than this.

After I beat the game, I must've played this about 20 times, I LOVED this level, driving around in the boat was so much fun, I loved doing the dash at the end, going up the ramp & into the bedroom, so cool! Ahh, great times. If Eidos had let Core remake the old TR games, I swear they would make so much money! These are classics in every sense of the word. The Atmosphere is much better in these than they are in the new games in my humble opinion.

@mikeswbr You can download it from the PSN store on your PS3, under "classic" games, originally from the PS1. It has Tomb Raiders 1-5. You can also download it to your PC, buying it from the GameStop website. Those are the two methods I know. Hope it helped :)

@cpassos0189 If you collect the 3 of them in a level you could get new weapons, extra ammo, etc... for example in the first level (The Great Wall) if you collected the 3 dragons (stone, jade and gold) you had the grenade launcher with few grenades...

I remember I played the demo for Last Revelation when I was 7 and I was afraid lol.The jackals came out of friggin' nowhere and it was so dark. Means you're missing data (Tomb.exe) that's a file, i'm guessing it's the file for the 2nd level. You're going to have to download it maybe if you're on a laptop playing?

@iris030380 The first 3 are all still 10/10 games though...This is definitely the best, but all the Tomb Raiders are still pretty good (minus Angel of Darkness, of course). It's done well as a series- It's been 10 years, and it still hasn't gone stale yet. The new ones aren't nearly as good as the originals, but they're still good games. Most franchises start seriously sucking after 10 years...

@videogamenostalgia To be honest there are only a HANDFUL of franchises that don't suck after 10 years, and tombraider is one of the ones that does. It went stale after the fourth or fifth game. Look at the franchises that are ageless. Doom, Quake + blizzard games etc. Never been ported to console.... hmm........ :D

@videogamenostalgia To be fair I havent even attemped to play them, because it angers me to even try. They took the original concept and made it coca cola. I was so looking forward to Anniversary, hoping it would be a blood copy of the original with 2009 graphics - but it was just another blockbuster style cheese up with a a faint smell of the classic. As for the others, I have no idea But you probably know better than me. One thing though, tell me that the first 2 games arent the best ones! :)

I spend so long playing this game and never really understood why it was so amazing.

Looking back, I think its the total lack of music (apart from the scripted set pieces), the atmosphere was incredible.

The sense of exploration and adventure as well, I can't think of many modern games that has captured that.
