my father was a Bataan Death March survivor and a POW for over 44 months under the cruel captors of the Imperial Japanese. He endured things most men have never had to-- he came home weighing only 80 pounds and he made an incredib le life for himself and a family as a highly rated ethical lawyer and Judge.
There were no ticker tape parades for him. I have to keep his legacy alive and the henious of what he endured.
I was an Airforce PJ for 10 years and my teammates were the best people I have ever had the honor of knowing. I'm hear today because my best friend saved my life when I got shot up. He didn't make it because he was saving me. I'm here today because of him and I miss him so damn much. Thanks for the song. I haven't really cried since getting out, but this song helped. Too all my brothers who didn't make it, I'll see you all again soon.
You know how I feel about your music, Brian. This, of course, is the icing on the cake. A wonderful, moving piece, and a great tribute to those who have given all for our liberty. I wish you great success with your exceptional CD. You deserve it.

@itzmesarah Thanks, Sarah, Good to hear from you. I don't think I'm old enough to be on American Idol. lol. Thanks for listening and maybe I'll see you next year at the reunion.
WOW! Amazing song, it brought tears to my eyes. You have captured the feelings, the sights and sounds when a hero is buried. I know, my son Marc Alan Lee was the first Navy SEAL killed in Iraq. He stood up into the heavy fire 3 times that day to save his buddies. He gave all of his tomorrows so that we could have our today's. Thank you, thank you for honoring our heroes with your talented voice and songwriting!
@HeroesMother God Bless you for raising a son who was instilled with the kind of character and courage that it took to sacrifice himself for the sake of others. I hope we as a nation never forget people like Marc. As long as there are people like Marc, there is still hope for the future of our nation. Thank you for listening and I'm so glad the song touches those who listen. I don't have much to give, but I can give what I have. God bless America.
This is outstanding, Brian! Absolutely outstanding! With a simple change from "American flags, salutes and waves" to "Folded flags, salutes and waves", this song becomes international...People all around the world can relate to it, and it becomes dear to all of us. Thank you for this song. Our Remembrance Day in Canada is coming up on November 11th, and this is a perfect song to help us put things in perspective.
One of the most relevant pieces of music I've heard in a long while... no, we must never forget the souls of every soldier, both living and past. God bless every woman and man in uniform.
God bless you and may his sacrifice never be forgotten.
