There is no more Taliban in Afghanistan. Everybody knows they have all fled to neighboring Pakistan. Those 30 or so thousand troops is just a small force of the eventual large force that will arrive and set up bases for the coming war with Russia and Iran. Russia is the last gateway to the US/EU achieving "Full Spectrum Dominance".
A group that criticizes the current strategy, but doesn't offer any meaningful suggestions on how it can be done better. The Afghan government is the problem. They have NO control over Afghanistan. We as America, are rebuilding the infrastructure of Afghanistan a village at a time. Provincial Reconstruction Teams through the military are heading this effort. It is to connect the Government with its people so that the Taliban cannot take over villages and pay scared locals to shoot at the Americans. Those 30 or so thousand troops is just a small force of the eventual large force that will arrive and set up bases for the coming war with Russia and Iran. It can NOT, however, solve it through DEMOCRATIC and HUMANE means.
Stalin would've wiped out the insurgency in Iraq and Afghanistan in a week if we gave him all our tanks and guns, but he would not do it in a very 'appropriate' way.
If we want to do this the peaceful way and our way, the best thing we can do is to pull out, and fight Al Qaeda with police forces, security network and agencies.

Provincial Reconstruction Teams through the military are heading this effort. It is to connect the Government with its people so that the Taliban cannot take over villages and pay scared locals to shoot at the Americans. And yes, it does make me more knowlegeable. You know why? It's because the news isn't always right. I don't go by Fox News, or even MSNBC or CNN. Normal people in America watch the news and think they know all about what is going on. My husband and all my friends know what is going on in Afghanistan. It naturally makes sense to take first-hand accounts rather than second or third hand accounts from the news.

I know very well about the Military. I choose not to participate getting caught up in a Corporate war with no end. My Grandfather fought in the Korean War and I see the silence and disturbed look on his face when asked what he's learned from then compared all the way up to what he sees now and has experienced. Unless you've read "WAR IS A RACKET" and know the true history of all the people dead and buried in Afghanistan, don't ever say you know squat with any certainty as you try to do so now.
