'Burning Memories' written by Mel Tillis - Wayne Walker.... hit version recorded by Ray Price Dec 1963 Columbia Studios Nashville, charted # 2 in 1964.

Also recorded by Mel Tillis May 1966 and Tillis also recorded another song he wrote 'Mental Revenge' the same day...(another Waylon fav)....

Waylon recorded his version Dec 1964 at Audio Recorders, Phoenix, AZ. Produced by James D.Musil as in JD's nightclub...It cost less than 100 dollars.

A more appropriate name for the album instead of 'Waylon Jennings at JD's' would have been ....'Songs you will hear if you come see Waylon at JD's nightclub located near the Tempe /Scottsdale river bottom, that Waylon recorded at a recording studio in Phoenix'....You can buy the record album at JD's!'...I guess that's a little too long!!
