Their first grown spurt? most kids have one around 3 or 4. I was about 50lbs when I started my period. And Always sucks. I only know 2 or 3 girls that don't get an awful rash from them.

We all come to it eventually, sure it's not the nicest thing in the world but it's not that bad either. If you can't talk to your mum do you have another family member you could talk to? You will start whenever it's right for you and it could be hard to predict but don't worry. Just because you are over 100 doesn't make you fat, and just because you are under 100 doesn't make you anorexic. You could be tall or short or big boned. I was late starting because I was too thin and as a result behind with the growth spurt. Also there is the assumption that girls are starting puberty at around nine or ten which is only possible as more children are overweight or even obese. You cannot start puberty early and be thin from birth.

@kittenchimera My mother told me I couldn't use tampons until I was 16 and I thought that was strict enough. My favourite hobby was swimming so it meant I had to miss out on that for one week in four and swimming according to my doctor helped with the cramps. So I was allowed to use them for swimming. Then the other girls in the class complained about me using towels in gymnastics classes and told me to wear tampons for that class.
@lemsip i was born here but my mother is from india.. she told me her whole family had bad experiences with tampons and said its worth it not to go swimming for a week until i got married.
Why should she ask her mother. For anybody dying to know who doesn't know a tampon is a densely packed cotton plug that is inserted in the vagina during periods and has a string attached. It's a kind of internal sanitary towel.
@missireland27 i know that she probably already answered your questoin but if she hasnt a tampon is for like sports and if your just running around alot a pad is i guess for if your just being lazy usually pads are bigger and will be annoying but tampons are very comfortable.

@willowandbecky Well you'll have about 5 hours when you can like realize you have started and the you can put on a pad/tampon before it willbe like a heavy flow. But when it is going like heaviest it wont be heaps but if you dont wear anything (pad/tampon) it will show on your clotes, I hope this helped :D

This person is making it seem like you have to be 90lbs and be rich to be liked.

@ItsJustMissSarah Doesn't take into consideration height and build. Girls need some baby fat just to start menstruating. I was late starting because I was too thin and as a result behind with the growth spurt. Also there is the assumption that girls are starting puberty at around nine or ten which is only possible as more children are overweight or even obese. You cannot start puberty early and be thin from birth.

@kittenchimera My mother told me I couldn't use tampons until I was 16 and I thought that was strict enough. My favourite hobby was swimming so it meant I had to miss out on that for one week in four and swimming according to my doctor helped with the cramps. So I was allowed to use them for swimming. Then the other girls in the class complained about me using towels in gymnastics classes and told me to wear tampons for that class.

Why should she ask her mother. For anybody dying to know who doesn't know a tampon is a densely packed cotton plug that is inserted in the vagina during periods and has a string attached. It's a kind of internal sanitary towel.

@missireland27 i know that she probably already answered your questoin but if she hasnt a tampon is for like sports and if your just running around alot a pad is i guess for if your just being lazy usually pads are bigger and will be annoying but tampons are very comfortable.

I get alot of discharge, Have done for about a year or as long as I have been wearing coloured underwear. I have breasts and have done for about 2 years. I have pubes, No underarm hair. I have had dried blood in my underwear once and thhat was about a month ago. I'm quite small and only 11, So I'm not sure if I'm gonna start soon or not.. LOL

@GlamourSweetie1318 Okay well, first, you should always wear pantiliners and keep pads with you because if that day comes you dont want to be unprepared. Its normal for you to not get it as soon as your done developing but its most likely to come. Dont want it like its some sort of currency. Nothing is enjoyable about it really. Its actually very annoying. The sports thing, i dont think so i mean your body has its own time set for it. :)

@superfan779 no, it does not if you put it in right,DO NOT wear a tampon if you did not get it, it can hurt you and it can hurt pulling it out because it's so dry and there's no blood to help it slide out, or, wear one for about 2 hours,take it out and see if it has blood on it if it's brown it's discharge or old blood
If it's red it's your period. Good

@willowandbecky Well you'll have about 5 hours when you can like realize you have started and the you can put on a pad/tampon before it willbe like a heavy flow. But when it is going like heaviest it wont be heaps but if you dont wear anything (pad/tampon) it will show on your clotes, I hope this helped :D

@Superfan799 I know right...boys have it so easy....if you have only had discharge for 3 or 4 months, I would guess you'll have another year before your period comes...give or take a few months, hope that helps. and thanks for your forgiveness:D
