I never cared for Vierne on English organs. They're sort of the anti-thesis to the French sound.

For all of its apparent faults, this organ sounds mighty fine. The performance is too.

The organ playing is immaculate. However, don't know if it's the recording or maybe the blower the organ sounds sluggish !

Thanks for the comment. Probably a bit of both. Much of the internal leatherwork is nearly 100 years old, the reeds speak a bit late and the pipework is all pretty dirty. We're hoping that we can restore for its centenary in 2015.

@AllHallowsChurch you are correct, most people attribute that comment to this piece but it is a myth, he only applied it to Fantomes.
