I hold two border collies and they are adorable, a two-year and twelve years and is always so big babies, dogs really smart, they know understand and be understood, very obedient I Council strongly! Sorry for my English is not terrible, I'm French explains everything! =)

yeah, but most important, is that you must have the time to raise one... if you don't, you should think of another kind of dog, like a smaller one =/

@Miljosaga my bc has NEVER shown an interest in any ball or frisbee ever. Even when we inserted treats into some tennis balls. She's the weirdest thing ever, but I love her <3

My dogs typical day:

2 hours - sleep

18 hours - ball

2 hours - frisbee

2 hours - barking at me every time i go outside without her

Don't get a border collie unless you are fully committed and live an area open enough to raise one. I live in a house by a lake with neighbors all around but a large field is a 5 minute walk from my house. Also, it is VERY important to introduce your pup to others dogs at an early age, as with all dogs. This is one of the most important keys to having a social dog.

@StandardSublime Great advice! That's what I try to tell people about not only puppies, but especially Border Collies. I don't have that kind of land or time, therefore I do NOT have a Border Collie.

I adopted 8 weeks BC/Aussie mix from a rescue organization 2 weeks ago. Her only problem is that her "off switch" is broken. And, I think that she is running on nuclear power. Love both my shelti/BC and BC/Aussie.
