HAMILTON, Mont. - A Radio Shack in Montana is offering would-be satellite television customers a bit more bang for their buck.
The Ravalli Republic reports customers who sign up for some Dish Network packages at Radio Shack in Hamilton will be rewarded with a pistol or shotgun.
LIARS... They do not care all dishnet work cares about is MONEY!!!!! My father died last month and my mother has tried to un subscribe but they say the need to speak to the person who created the account. Well.... ya bunch of nimrods he is DEAD.... My FATHER PASSED AWAY, AS IN HE IS IN HEAVEN WITH JESUS!!!!!!!!!! HE CANT TALK TO YA'LL. IDIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@libretnug you need to provide a death certificate and fax it to their customer service dept. and include a letter stating who the estate of your father is so they can close any accounts or services under his name. Sorry for your loss.
DISH networks cheats millions of people of California.
always cheats with there one way contracts but still they cheat and advertise on there front page your local sports well thats a lie...THAT ONLY MEANS THEY CHEAT
@cizzlen07 Nope no catch just buy the $99 sling adapter and plug it in to your VIP 722 or VIP 722K receiver and your good to go. Oh, and you also got to have the internet hooked up to the receiver that is it. No catch, just a nice product.
Be careful if ordering this by phone. It is not the slinglink "connector" as the lady said on the phone. I specifically mentioned sling adaptor and her response was, "well it's called several different things." I shouldn't have taken her word for it. Lucky me I will be getting the wrong thing in the mail, sending straight back.
I need to know if this works with the vip622 dvr. I don't see why it wouldn't. It's the same receiver as the vip722 dvr minus the record memory and the color. Anyone have an answer? Thanks
This is from the Dish site (when I logged in and was about to purchase this device, I seen this)
Sling Adapter
Enjoy DISH programming on your computer or mobile device. Watch live and recorded content anywhere, anytime, as if you were in front of your TV at home!
Receiver Models: 722 and 722K.
Includes a one (1) year warranty from the date of purchase.
I did see this info but two people from dish confirmed that the 622's will work for viewing tv. We'll see once someone wants to try it out and post back.
I wouldn't want to spend $100 to find out, but I'm glad I have the ViP722k. On a related note, I'm waiting to find out if Dish will start allowing other members in the household to have their own accounts. IMO, it doesn't make sense that the person that pays the account (me for example) is the only one that would be able to use this Sling device away from home. I mean, what if my wife wants to log in? I have to log off? LOL
@bishoplord Common sense, this would mean that you would be able to provide service to other people and could be getting profit from Dish Network's services.
@bishoplord no problem. the thing is that the slingloader, what it does is it allows you to control your receiver remotely. this means that if you're watching lets say family guy, and then your wife wants to use the remote access as well, the receiver can't give out programming individually to both of you at the same time. also, dish does not want you to be able to provide service to others, if what you wanted would be done, you could charge people to access your account.
One thing I found out, when I use the Free Dish app on my Android to watch TV, it will briefly change the channel in the living room (making my wife having to change the channel back to what she was watching), but if I watch Dish via the Web (using the Sling), the TV in the living room isn't affected. I tested both out (Android and Web via laptop) while sitting in the living room. The laptop is far far better than the Android app, but then again, my laptop is an 8lbs behemoth.
@rdjr74 No it wont work, the VIP 622 does not have good enough chipset in it. VIP 722 has a updated chipset as well as the Hard drive and color. Sorry/
Talked to Dish and got a rep that knows what she's talking about. Instead of the 922 just have to get a Sling Adapter and connect to the 622 and I'm off to the races with Dish Network on my HTC EVO. Plus it saves a $100.00 by not getting the 922 which you only lease. The Sling Adapter you own!
how the hell am I supposed to watch this on my iphone, just downloaded the app only lets me select shows to record you can't watch it on your phone, damn it!
All I have is a VIP622. How do 622 owners get treated? After 100yrs of loyal service, Dish wants to charge me $200.00 to get a 922. That's a lease one at that!!!!
if you need answer for your dish network look me up at cablemenowdotnet
