Barbara Gogan and The Passions were probably the most overlooked band of the time.. and SO FANTASTIC! Into Night, Sanctuary.. I love everything they did.. sooo wish they'd do a reunion tour

Brilliant ! I'd completely forgotten about this lot so thanks for posting. After doing some "surfing", it seems one of their albums is being re-issued by Cherry Red Records on 21July.
This makes one wonder how many other gems are "hiding in the woodwork" from that time period !

Recorded in London at the end of 1982. There is no video of 'Love is Essential', sorry.

I'll second that! I've had the album that features that song since back then. Love Is Essential was the only song I ever played from it (and still do). Brilliant!
