Would be cool if the upcoming movie "Immortals' stuck to the real myth of Theseus or the Titanomachy. I just don't like how Hollywood screws with Greek Mythology. i understand how it's good to deviate a little from a story, yet if it's done too much, it doesn't look good.
The labyrinth was an ordinary prison on the island of Crete. The Minotaur was actually a real person named Taurus who was an undefeated fighter/wrestler who was the champion of the athletic games held by King Minos of the Cretians.
i just love greeks myths they are so coooll i mean minotaur is cool BUT MEDUZA WOWWWWWWW SHE CAN TURN YOU TO STOWN JSUT LOOKING IN TO YOU I MEAN THATS BAD ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like the interpretation of Friedrich Dürrenmatt. In his ballad "The Minotaur", he describes the monster as a victim of circumstances. Furthermore, the labyrinth exists simultaneously in every man and outside, in the world, man is Minotaur and Theseus at the same time. A very inteligent point of view by Dürrenmatt, not to convict an individium in a simple way, but to ask: who and why. The myth of the Minotaur is nothing else than a mirror of our everyday life.
wrong. minotaur is pronounced wrong. its pronounced with a short i as in igloo. next, they didnt say that the ball of thread was magical and daedalus, the creator of the maze, created the magical string.
@trbossdoggy Athens had to send every nine years 7 young men and women, not each year. The myth is a real myth. It's even uncertain if the king of crete, minos, did really have power of athens.
For a look at Minotaur as a baby, search Youtube for the following video... 5CH0ybyLvzg

The ball of string that was given to him was called a "Clue". That's why we ask for a "Clue" to help us out solving problems.
