when I was 1 or 2 my mom put this on for my sisters but I was the one who ended up watching it. It's been my favorite movie basically my whole life, I never out grew it. I saw this back when it originally opened in theatres. It had a promotion with Burger King where if you purchased a Nightmare Before Christmas wrist watch at BK and showed it to the concession stand clerk you got free popcorn when you went to see the movie. It kinda killed it when they kept re-releasing it with different bands doing covers of the soundtrack though. I prefer the original version.

@JMcauley211 Nope. Burton co-wrote many of the songs with Elfman, and worked on the scrtip. in fact Elfman says the best lyrics were Tims. all the designed were also Tim's work. Henry selick was hired to direct it but he didn't have creative control, he had to make it a Tim Burton film. This was always a producers film not the directors.. It is and always will be a Tim Burton film,. however it wouldn't have been nearly as good if Selick wasn't behind the camera.

Worth noting: This is NOT a cartoon. It is a stop-motion, which is a similar form of animation, the main difference being that instead of drawing 2-D pictures, stop-motion poses and takes pictures of 3-D figures. It's much harder because the figures can fall down.
