Yeah, I don't really use that part. I think it's supposed to be a scoring blade for when you're planing edgegrain. It usually works during the backstroke. I'd probably never use mine on edgegrain personally. I've since upgraded to a real workbench. Maybe I'll make a new video with proper work holding!
Had a quick question. I also have this plane. What is the little slotted adjustable V blade that is behind the actual cutting blade for??? I haven't figured that one out yet. Thanks!
